A word of advice... Don't try to make your long-distance girlfriend jealous during a movie date... Her and I were watching a movie last night over Skype, and after it finished, we got into some fun joking around. It eventually got into her doing some playful poking fun at me, but I just felt a little hurt...

Instead of voicing my hurt to her, I decided to lash out at her, with an extremely insensitive joke intended to spark some jealousy in her. It worked... Too well >.<. I am now "in the doghouse", where we won't be able to video chat until Monday! Ugh... Can't it come soon enough? Lol

I will say this though: I accept full responsibility for my absolute stupidity. I also want to apologize to her and promise I will try my hardest to not be so... What's the word... Jerk-ish.

So my lesson to you guys... Be sensitive of each other's emotions and feelings. It is easy to have a foot in mouth moment and hurt someone you care about. Learn from my mistakes!

Egos are a difficult thing to tame. We all say junk we'd like to take back. Hopefully it's just a temporary setback and you two will be Skyping your hearts out in no time. :)

I think all of us guys do through that, at one time or another. Hang in there, chalk it up as another one of your many lessons learned.

Every couple goes through tough times. At least she is willing to talk to you again and at least you recognized what you did wrong. Focus on the positive and learn from your mistakes. I hope the relationship goes well. God bless ya! :)

Ugh... long distance girlfriend. No thank you. If we can't hold hands, then she's not my girlfriend. Period.

I would only entertain the idea if there was a hope of meeting the person within a very short amount of time.

Agreed. I used to work with a young atheist in a big fortune 500 corporation during the 90's that had a long-distance relationship with a married woman. He was able to use the Internet to lure her away from her husband to California where she filed for divorce. They lived happily together fornicating for a couple of years until she found a BBD (e.g. bigger, better, deal) and left him for a wealthy older man.

I know all this because he was two desks over constantly whining about it all to anyone who would listen. His unhappiness over her leaving him affected his behavior and he began making snide derogatory remarks about people he didn't like in the office that weren't empathetic to his "plight."

I was one of them so eventually he got around to me. I handled it a little differently than everyone else though as they had just been keeping their heads down and ignoring this wannabe alpha liberal "male."

After a couple weeks of hearing him degenerate my good name, I walked over to him in front of everyone and grabbed him by the front of his shirt and lifted him out of his chair looked him directly in the eyes and said, "say it again and see what happens."

Lol, I was serious too. What would have next would have been an old school big black eye. The fear he had at that moment was so bad I honestly set him down a little bit away from me just in case he pissed himself as I didn't want any of it on me.

Well... as you can imagine he went running down to HR as fast his fat legs could carry him and filed a workplace grievance against me launching a two week investigation after which I was reprimanded.

Life goes on...

I would only entertain the idea if there was a hope of meeting the person within a very short amount of time.

That was pretty inconsiderate.
and? let me guess you are one who would rather me go take his hand and baby him like a 2 year old.

sorry I don't work like that, life is hard, life is rude, truth hurts.

Big problem today is people can't put the internet away and go have a real life. seriously technology is causing more harm to society then anything else, it has made people dumb and unable to think for themselves.

seriously this "e-love" is a joke, if you have not met you ain't in love period, I don't care how much people want to tell themselves that they are "in love" over the net but they are just telling lies to themselves. YOU CAN'T DOWNLOAD A WIFE OR A HUSBAND. period. no point period calling someone a boy/girl friend if YOU HAVE NEVER MET. PERIOD! Its one of the stupidest ideas you can ever have, they hardly ever work out.

want a boy/girl friend, get off the bloody internet and GO MEET SOMEONE FACE TO FACE IN REAL LIFE.
