My name is April and I live in California with my husband (of 3 years) and my 22 month old daughter. I have a long Christian background. However, most of my life has been ravaged by sexual abuse. I suffered it for 10 years (ages 4-9 by 2 uncles) and (ages 13-18 by step-father). Most people have told me that they are surprised I am even alive and as well off as I am and I know I have only God to thank you that. After all the years of abuse I have been through, people tell me that I seem relatively unscathed. I do struggle on a daily basis with 3 disorders and anxiety but overall I just feel like God is continually lifting me up. He has answered my prayers several times and I can feel him around me. I now know he was with me during all the abuse, making sure I knew he was near. I am not on any medication for my disorders and am dealing with them through God's word and my mentor from Church.

I look forward to talking with other Christians and this seems like a perfect place for me to be.

God Bless you sister. I'm sorry about everything that you have went through, alway's remember that it wasn't your fault. Your a soldier in God's eye's for surviving the battle of your life. God love's you, and for everything that you have went through God will repay you 10 times worth I promise. Keep your head up and alway's trust in God. My blessings go out to you and your family.

That is a pretty amazing testimony - very encouraging!

Out of curiosity, what disorders do you struggle with? I have several issues of my own (including general anxiety disorder) that I struggle with on a daily basis.
