This Christian booklet was laying on the sidewalk outside the Library. I scan through it and thought it was worth knowing about. I turned it into the Library.

Sexy Girls. How Hot Is Too Hot?
Hayley DiMarco

Every teenage girl wants to be sexy—she wants to be noticed, to be attractive. But what is "sexy," really? Do teen girls know what they are saying about themselves by the way they dress? Popular author Hayley DiMarco wants to help them figure it out. Sexy Girls is an honest and provocative look at everything sexy—from clothes and self-presentation to body image. With her approachable style and wit, Hayley shows teen girls- why little things called hormones affect the way guys look at girls- what girls are really saying by the way they dress- what God thinks about teens trying to be sexy with quizzes, sidebars, and questions for reflection, Sexy Girls is the perfect opportunity for girls to figure out who they are and how they are going to present that image to their peers.

I never heard of this booklet before now, nor have I read it (obviously), but I have oftentimes spoken to my own two teenage daughters in relation to what type of "men" (animals?) they are more than likely to attract by dressing certain ways.

In other words, if you're dressing "sexy", then you're more than likely going to attract "men" (animals?) who are only lusting after you selfishly, and who don't love you selflessly.

I'm actually divorced (my ex literally "played the whore" many times, and then divorced me later on), and my daughters normally live with their mother (one of my daughters is away at college right now), only about 10 minutes away from me (I see them all the time).

Anyhow, I'm mentioning this because their mother literally dresses like a whore quite often (not just my assessment...others have pointed that out as well, and most of those "others" aren't even Christians), and it's definitely negatively influenced my two daughters.

Interesting topic. Many young women are quite naïve about those things. It goes
hand in hand with their innocence, and makes them prime targets for predators.

Although things have changed since I was a young teen  Today's youth are
exposed to so much more at younger and younger ages; the proliferation and

normalization of prurient behaviors probably encourages licentious attitudes.

"Prurient"?

I had to look that one up.

Well, I learned a new word today...

The trickle down effect (may not be the right term) has disastrous consequences
not just for the the youth, but all of society as we shoulder the moral and financial
burden of unwanted pregnancies, absentee fathers, single mothers, and children
brought up without proper direction, who are at further risk of degeneration.

It is widely accepted that whole civilizations fell due to people indulging
hedonistic impulses. I found a quick yet interesting read on it
here (<= link :)).

I'm so sorry brother. Keep talking to them about it. Hopefully they will listen.

I hope you can forgive your ex-wife. It's your honor to forgive others.

Shouldn't we publish a book on how boys should correctly treat girls' sexy.

I forgave her a long time ago...even though she's not the least bit penitent.

Anyhow, she and I are very amicable.

In fact, I spent about 4 hours in her home last night, and, I might add in relation to this topic, both she and our two daughters (we have one son together as well), were barely wearing any clothes at all.

That said, I did get the opportunity to talk to one of my daughters for about two hours straight in relation to spiritual matters last night, so I'm beyond happy about that.

I similarly had the opportunity to speak to my other daughter about spiritual matters for more than an hour in my ex's home just a few days ago (my children live with their mom, but only about 10 minutes away from me), so I'm thrilled about that as well.

Thanks.

Believe me, I'll never give up on my children as long as there is breath in my body.

They're in my heart and in my prayers constantly, and they know that.

Yes, Paul says to treat them like your sister.

1 Timothy 5:2
[Treat] older women like mothers [and] younger women like sisters, in all purity.

1 Timothy 5
Easy-to-Read Version
5 Don’t speak angrily to an older man. But talk to him as if he were your father. Treat the younger men like brothers. 2 Treat the older women like mothers. And treat the younger women with respect like sisters.

Job 31:1
I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?

replace with man
Proverbs 31:30
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

Seek ye first kingdom of God

Matthew 5:28
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Be a servant

1 Corinthians 7:1
Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

replace woman with man
1 Corinthians 7:34
There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

And I have to say I've seen both sides...

One guy was busy accusing his teenage (13 yo) son of trying to breed all the girls....(He wasn't) simply because he liked a girl.

And I've seen where guys and girls run around practically naked because they think it's normal to do so. (And it's warm weather)

And I've seen where the kids are dressed normally running around town but then go find places out of sight to hold orgies.

It's kinda strange to say the least. This one aspect of human life that everyone gets so upset over...one way or another.

And I tend to think we have become over sexualized in too many ways. Either in hiding our bodies and strict roles for men and women (seems to go hand in hand) or in absolute confusion as to what goes where and when or even what gender you are.

And looking back through history....it's a pendulum that swings.
Now because of the absolute immorality that is being shoved down our throats....there's going to be a backlash.

And make no mistake that it's coming....
A return to morality with a vengeance.

Iran is actually a good example. They were becoming very westernized in the 60's and EARLY '70's. But many things out of western culture are violations of Muslim doctrines. The people became rebellious over the lack of morality.

Today Muslim extremists have control. And they sponsor terrorists who attack western nations.
