Just out of curiosity, why do you feel like it would be wrong for you to read it? I mean it's a fiction book......I wouldn't really consider it to be anti-Christian. But I guess if you really feel like it's gonna cause a problem in your spiritual walk, just talk to your teacher and say you'd prefer to read a different book and see if there's any way your assignment can be changed.

Have your mom write your teacher a note saying she does not want you to read that book, and to please assign you an alternative reading assignment if possible. Worked when my mom did it... although I didn't really ask my mom to write a note. She kind of did that on her own. I was just complaining about the book and next thing I knew I had an alternative reading assignment.
