First hydroxychloroquine, now ivermectin, is the hated deadly drug de jour, castigated by the medical establishment and regulatory authorities. Both drugs have been around for a long time as FDA-approved prescription medications. Yet now we are told they are as deadly as arsenic.

Ivermectin was FDA approved in 1998 under brand name Stromectol, produced by pharmaceutical giant Merck, approved for several parasitic infections. The product label described it having a “unique mode of action,” which “leads to an increase in the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions.” This suggests that ivermectin acts as an ionophore, making cell membranes permeable to ions that enter the cell for therapeutic effect.

Ivermectin is one of several ionophores, others including hydroxychloroquine, quercetin, and resveratrol, the latter two available over the counter. These ionophores simply open a cellular door, allowing zinc to enter the cell, where it then interferes with viral replication, providing potential therapeutic benefit in viral and other infections.

A study published several months ago in the American Journal of Therapeutics concluded,

Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in COVID-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance. Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin. Finally, the many examples of ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality indicate that an oral agent effective in all phases of COVID-19 has been identified.

To my knowledge these 18 studies have not been retracted, unlike previous studies critical of hydroxychloroquine which were ignominiously retracted by prestigious medical journals like The Lancet and the New England Journal of Medicine.

Depends on which sources you believe. Australian medical officials state that invermectin is either ineffective or harmful. It's commonly used in treating animals. Australia's budget has taken a huge hit because of COVID. If there was a cheap, proven and safe treatment, we would use it. And invermectin does not provide immunity.

My wife was diagnosed with covid19 and an UTI last Monday. She got a IV antibiotic at the ER, and since her lungs were clear, and she has been vaccinated, she was sent home with a course of antibiotics. I don't about hydroxychloroquine's effectiveness, but it didn't prevent her from getting covid19, but so far, she has had symptoms of her UTI, and is feeling much better.

I was diagnosed with covid19 yesterday. I have a severe sinus infection. The doctor put me on an antibiotic, prednisone and invermectin. (the ivermection isn't available, and won't be for a week or so) Since I fall into the high risk group, and have a sinus infection, he also scheduled me for an infusion Monday. Ivermectin will not prevent covid19, but, according to my doctor, it is helpful in mild cases. It seems I won't be able to find out.

Keep us in your prayers.

Antibody cocktails do work well if you can get them in time.

But you have to qualify and supplies are extremely limited.

I personally know 4 people who got covid . Two of them were given Hydroxychloroquine, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Zinc, Zpac, and Prednisone. They felt better after 3-4 days and were covid negative after about 2 weeks. The other two had been taking ivermectin as a prophylactic. Both of the people taking ivermectin were given Regeneron(spelling?) by their doctor and recovered also after two weeks.

Our son was down with covid for 7 days. His wife and three kids did not get it. My wife and i had been in contact with them and we didnt get it. All the adults involved were taking multi vitamins and vitamin D3 every day except for my son. Our son is 34 and the doctor didnt give him any thing for the covid. He did start doubling down on the vitamin D3 and i believe it helped his recovering from covid.
There is a over the counter med that may help in recovering covid. It is cheap and easy to get. I havnt used it but bought 2 bottles of the generic brand at wally world just in case.
