It means we are all sinners... no matter what our nationality or religion, and we are all held to the same standard of perfection as the angels. Those of us humans not found justified by faith through the blood of Christ will be cast into the Lake of Fire with the devil and his angels... because without God we are nothing.

The reason for the inscriptions and design as such is because it's patterned after the original design of Solomon's temple. Has nothing to do with only being for Israelite/Jews/Hebrew speakers/ etc. The day that Christ died on the cross the veil separating the people from the Holy of Holies was torn from top to bottom. This was a sign to all future generations and peoples that there was no longer the need for separation from God's holiness because Christ was the Great High Priest. He completed all sacrifices and fulfilled all laws, thus giving all Christians a means of justification in God's sight. The playing field was leveled. There is no longer Jew, nor Greek before God in the church.
It even goes beyond nationalities as well. God has seen fit to justify people from every denomination, as well... by HIS choosing. Once God chooses his sheep, his sheep hear his voice and know that they are His... and they are not given the option to say no. We are bought with a price, sealed until the day of redemption.
