I'm normally an upbeat, kind, loving person. Not today. Well, not the "upbeat" part anyway.:rolleyes: And I'm trying to stay away from people and guard my words to avoid being unkind.

Have you ever had a day like that? When you feel absolutely horrible? When you are incredibly discouraged? When you find yourself less patient regarding some things? A day when you think it should temporarily be okay to punch someone in the face for stuff like using baby talk, being hypercritical/hypocritical/downright mean spirited, whining? And then you realize that maybe YOU are a little whiney yourself? :)

Yeah...it's like that...:rolleyes:

For whatever reason, people seem surprised when some of us have a bad day. They may even march in together and start pointing big self-righteous foam fingers, never realizing (or caring) that they are assisting satan against a wounded warrior of the Lord in their ignorance.

I know that God will lift me up on wings like eagles, and I will wait for it. :) In the meantime, the words David, Paul and even Jesus, Himself, spoke in such times, show me that God knows and understands...and it's my turn to have a "being real" day.

Luke 5: [SUP]15 [/SUP]Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. [SUP]16 [/SUP]But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

2 Corinthians 4: [SUP]8 [/SUP]In every way we’re troubled, but we aren’t crushed by our troubles. We’re frustrated, but we don’t give up. [SUP]9 [/SUP]We’re persecuted, but we’re not abandoned. We’re captured, but we’re not killed.

Psalm 27:
7Hear my voice when I call, Lord;
be merciful to me and answer me.
8My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek.
9Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
God my Savior.
10Though my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will receive me.
11Teach me your way, Lord;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
spouting malicious accusations.

13I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
14Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Isaiah 40:
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
[SUP]31 [/SUP]but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary;
they will walk and not be faint.

James 1:12

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Psalm 62:5

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.

Jeremiah 31:25

For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”

Don't worry, this guy has no misconceptions about how perfect you are. :p

Seriously, though, you are a great woman of God. Because I see Him in you every day, it is easy (yes, easy) to look past any pain you've caused me. To recognize that behind your mistakes or emotions (women...) is LOVE. In truth, you always being upbeat would probably annoy me anyways. :) I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Hey D,

Wasn't really sure what else to say...wanted to go with "Love ya.." which works too, but...you know...idk... *shrugs*

Anyway, heard. Hopefully understood. Appreciated. Hence, "You're Awesome!"

Kudo's for posting a pic of me at the end of your thread :) WAIT...I mean uhhh......batman, right, yeah, because I'm not REALLY batman....ha ha, yeah....anyway,

Kudo's for the post in general Jullianna, you do a lot of good for a lot of people on here, and even in your discouraging crappy day, you are blessing people, and that says something huge. I had one of these days not too long ago, and yeah, it sucked. I shocked a lot of people at work because I usually stay pretty calm even when I'm angry, and I was stomping around everywhere, and being kind of mean to people. To top it off I get an email from my brother in law giving me a bunch of garbage about my music choices...oh man that was a good one.

So what do I do? Well, I vented some of my day to dad (only the first two hours of the day, but it was harsh), and as happens every once in a while through all his useless knowledge, pointless stories, and just plain bad humor, he drops a nugget of wisdom. "Tomorrow is another day." So, suck it up, plug on, get through the day, and wait for the sun to rise again. God blesses every single day we have, and as this posts demonstrates, He has used yours. I'm sure something good came of mine to but I guess I'll never know on this side of heaven :/

Dianna, it's okay to have days like today....you're human just like the rest of us. I know what kind of woman you are and I admire all the qualities you possess....you are an extremely loving, caring, intelligent, and godly woman who genuinely cares and prays for people in ways that I'm sure makes our Father proud! You make this world a better place and the human race could use more servants of God just like you! You need support and prayer too, and I ask everyone who reads this to join me in praying for a complete healing of the health issues you've been experiencing.....and I mean a complete healing that I know can happen according to God's word! I also ask God to touch your heart so that you will know that I really do care about you more than you know. I will continue to pray for you and I know the friends you've made in this forum will do the same!

I know of at least one other person who is reading this right now and experiencing much the same. I won't name you and embarrass you, but you know who you are and my love and prayers are with you. :) The scriptures I posted are for you too, my friend. :)

*reaches out sideways, pulls Red in for a hug*

Only on days that end in Y, Red. But the joy of the Lord is our strength, yeah?

I remember the first time I re-read that passage in Luke, and it stuck with me, too. Even the spiritual noise gets unbearable; you know His flesh had to have been tempted to look upon the crowds and call out, "Peace! Be still!" as He did with the waves.

*hugs and gummy bears*

Wow... I'm having that day too. Really hectic week, and even more stressful weekend. I found myself today at church with FIVE major things that I needed to do all at the same time, and just sort of melted down into nothing. Felt like people were coming at me from all sides needing things. After scrambling all morning, I actually spent the sermon-time in my church office by myself with the door locked, staring at the wall. Breathing. And feeling pretty awful. *whine*

Thanks for the encouragement Didi, and for being REAL. It's nice to be that way sometimes. Nice to answer, when someone asks how you are, with a truthful "I'm not WELL!".

(I feel better now.) :)

Actually, Jules, that reason is why I haven't been on much lately. Not really in the mood to come on and frivolitize enjoyification and wondermerriment when so much evil is going on. (I believe we are in end times...)

My Mom said it the other day...that Glenn Beck was telling all of what we're headed for in America, but then said that there's Good News...that The Lord is in control.

So, I'm not exactly smiling and happy all the time now, but I am secure in that He reigns.
