I don't think your opening post was reasonable but I do apologise for calling you a troll. Yes, it's important to think critically to gain a greater understanding. Context is key when reading the Bible - historical/theological/cultural context. When was the book written? Who was the initial audience? What was the situation? What genre does the book belong to? - just to name a few. Thank you.
If your question was based on what was actually written then we can take you seriously . But its not, your question is based off of a lack of understanding, self imposed, that when you were shown, the scriptures, you refused to accept ,in favor of your skewed from scripture view attitude, insults and all.

Please, I didn't skewed anything. that was exactly from the bible. maybe you should check the meaning of "skew". I think you are having persecutory delusion.

I know I won't get answer from you. seems like you don't have any. I don't understand what you mean by I'm easy to spot but surely you are not a type of person who actually understand the bible.
I'm sure you have been to church a lot, but you don't really understand the idea of Jesus Christ.
Because of people like you, people like Nietzche says there was only one christian, and he died on the cross.
Just a quick question...aren't we to consider the Old Testament writings to be for our learning? It is my understanding that it is the old covenant that was written to and for the Jewish people. Aren't we to follow the teachings of the New Testament, not the Law that was given to the Jewish people? I don't want to be involved in this arguement....just trying to clear up a few things in my own mind.
People who read Nietzsche know how to spell Nietzsche, the rest are quote miners.
„Von allem Geschriebenen liebe ich nur Das, was Einer mit seinem Blute schreibt. Schreibe mit Blut: und du wirst erfahren, dass Blut Geist ist.“ --Friedrich Nietzsche, Also sprach Zarathustra (1883-85)

No. that is a common misconception going around in mass. Christ said we follow all of God's words. That includes His law. Christ also said He dose not change it not even the sound of one of the letters.

The Old Testament is for everyone from the greatest to the least.
Jonah 3:4 Jonah began to go into the city, going a day's journey. And he called out, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” 5 And the people of Nineveh believed God. They called for a fast and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them to the least of them.
anyone who thinks God is going to punish a Woman for being forced to have sex, has no concept of the bible. I guess if you wanted to believe the original poster, raped children should be stoned to death too, this entire thread should be deleted as it's a huge insult to any rape victims. Rape is a horrible crime that destroys many lives, and the OP is treating it like it's the victims fault.
