Like I said to Ugly, The OP asked for opinions on Skillet. I gave mine. This isn't a pro-skillet thread. Go start a pro-skillet thread if you can't handle other people's opinions. Resulting to name calling and personal insults only reflects a spirit that I will assume you don't want to receive.

Just who do you guys think you are? We stated our opinions & let it go.... you shoulda done the same & this mess would have never happened.

Since you did, let me tell you how it is..... if you guys wasn't so liberal with your lives & enjoyed hard rock of all kinds, which means doing what's right in your own eyes, or do what thou wilt, you wouldn't be in here doing all this meanness right now. I've worked 12 1/2 hours t-day & I'm beat.... that's why I'm a little edgy t-day.... that & I'm a little sick & tired of people thinking they can do whatever they want when they feel like it.

I have come to the conclusion anyone in this forum can get upset over anything. If I said key lime pie was good someone could blow up over it and make a case for me being a heretic who was going straight to hell if I didn't repent.

You people are insulting each other - both sides - over something that SHOULDN'T EVEN HAVE SIDES!

I swear, this is just like my days in first grade. "My dad can whoop your dad!" "No he can't!" *fight ensues* I was usually the one who kept swinging on the swingset while they wasted time and structural damage fighting, but I remember it well.

I ain't saying. Whether I say it is or isn't, someone will disagree with me about it and inevitably use it to question my salvation. Of course someone will probably say I'm riding the fence now about the key lime pie issue, and call me lukewarm. :rolleyes:


To the topic at hand: I listened to a little of Skillet and found them a bit lacking. Sounded to me like they were just singing a song they thought would sell - didn't seem like their hearts were in it. But that's just me, someone else may really be moved by their songs.

And I have some groups in my collection that sound a lot like them, so it seems I like that general style. Just not that particular group.

I used to squeeze a lime in my gin & tonic but I don't drink alcohol anymore. I agree that I need to tread carefully in this thread.

Yes but there are many christians who eat key limes, especially in pie. I know a good many of them. In fact some good friends of mine have prayed hard and sought God's will about this, and they feel it is okay to eat key limes if they are in a pie. Other kinds of limes are of course fine whether in a pie or not.

Okay I'm done with the limes. But really, some of the arguments in this forum seem as abstruse, and absurd, as this. Perhaps more so.

I just think its funny how defensive people get over other peoples opinions in a thread that ASKED for peoples opinions on skillet. If you like them cool if you don't thats cool too. When you start name calling others for giving their opinion you just make yourself look foolish.
