Are you thinking of this passage?
"And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipethem with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner." (Luke 7:36-39).
If this is the passsage you had in mind, it does not apply. This was a woman who was seeking forgiveness and found it with Jesus Christ. Hence, why she was so grateful to him.
There is no viable good reason that your neighbor should visit your wife an ongoing basis so as to share in enjoying her company. Like I said, if they met once in the fact that he introduced himself and or if one of them was needing help in an emergency, then that is different. But to just have them hang out all the time whereby they would enjoy each others company is not appropriate.
For both my fiance and myself agree that this type of behavior would not be acceptable by either of us. Our connection is more than just the physical. First, our connection is spiritual because we both love the Lord and the Bible. So we wouldn't want to do anything to make one another potentially jealous. Second, we deeply share each others affections on a mental or social level. To share that with another man in the same way that we do would be wrong. It would no longer be special. Do you know I am talking about?
