Did he ever go to the doctor before he died? It seems like I remember reading where he thought the way it was supposed to work as you didn't get sick and then one day you just die, unless you are here for the rapture.
I heard Hagin had a big meeting before he died where he corrected people for teaching the 'hundred fold blessing' thing going around, and they stopped saying that after he did.
I've heard Hagin didn't actually write his books. They were gathered from his transcribed sermons. He also had an unusual memory. Without trying to memorize it, he was able to quote at one time about a quarter of the New Testament, he said. He could have heard Hagin on the radio years before and said the same thing without realizing he was doing so. I was having a conversation with a woman a week or two ago who quoted the Westminster confession, apparently without realizing it.[QUOTE
I never heard this, but you can read all his main books and little pocket books and you are reading word for word Kenyon in a lot of his larger books. I never thought of Hagin as a Pastor or preacher...I saw him as a teacher. As far as knowing the Bible like that I believe many are like that...so I will not comment on that...I have memorized large amounts of scripture as well, so that is not an issue for me..

I'm not going to condemn all WOFers to Hell like some people want to do. I've met annoying WOFers who condemn you for saying you have a cold and that sort of thing. I've also known some people who went to Rhema who sounded like evangelical or Pentecostal preachers when they preached and when you talk to them. I think some of the Copeland followers may be a bit more extreme than some of the Rhema grads.
I am not condemning anyone to hell, but I have been around WOFers and most if not all are pretty full of pride, condemnation and think they are the best Christians there are...We agree on your comment about Copeland....
I choose to look at Rhema Bible School in this way....there was a mass exodus of teachers who have been there for decades about 4 years ago....and several left the faith altogether or had to go elsewhere to be restored....the smae thing happened at the church at about the same time....I won't go into rumors, because those are rumors, but when you see a shift of that magnitude and people who had been involved for decades either have to be restored, healed or leave the Faith altogether, speaks about fruit...
I will say this happened to me when I audited a few classes at Rhema, while picking which Bible School to attend years ago...NOt once did any teacher at Rhema ever preach or teach from the Bible...not once in 4 classes I audited and took 4 classes for each class...the reosurces were all "dad" hagins books and we never opend in prayer, we never cracke dopen a BIbloe or turned them on....classes would stat and halfway through it turned into WOrshipping "DAD" and his boy....and then "having church"...menaing lets lay ahdns oin each other, start yammering in tongues and give each other prophecies that never line up wiht the word....Perosnally spekaing, when I hit the school parking lot, I felt a darkness, like when I walk into prisons to minister...my expereince was it was a joke and manufactured by fleshy and carnal CHristian teachers, who seemd to have positions, but no calling...

I used to see the hearing WOFers on TV. I was raised Pentecostal. But some of those preachers, if you turn them on for a minute, start contradicting the Bible and then try to argue that the verses they contradicted don't say what they mean. The emphasis on money some of the preachers had back in the '80's up through today has always struck me as very carnal. Then I went oversees and lived in a little town where a lot of the expats were either Lutheran or Rhema grads. I also made friends with an older missionary when I moved out of that town who'd founded the Bible college there. Some of the rhema grads seemed extreme in that the quoted Kenneth Hagin left and right, which was super annoying to me. But some WOFers were fairly evangelical in their thought process. They are all what might be called 'Arminian'-- or not really Reformed Arminian, but what passes for Armininianism.
we agree on this...
I'm not sure your problem here. If you have a job that provides for you, that's 'prosperity' in a sense. I don't see a problem with giving people who go to your church jobs. That sounds like a good thing to do.
It is a great thing I agree.
It is a problem when you would see some person sob in front of church that they cannot make a car payment on the Range Rover and if by some act of divine intervention next week the car was paid off....and they calim it was soemthing else other than some buddy in church paying off the note...
Its a problem when the blessing is manufactured and not real to prove what? I am not sure...saw this happen all the time...and even heard 2 in a bathroom laughing how that sheep are so stupid and easy to decive, but I got my car paid off...

I hadn't associated growling like lions or groping spouses in public with WOF. Was this a 'big name' WOFers meeting?
Nope not at all, back to back normalk SUnday night service at a WOF church...the Holy Laughter was pathetic and then some used the term bursh arbor spell...using thre word "spell" describing the HOly Ghost...I will pass thank you very much...
I stay clea rof them adn their teachings...it leads nowhere but the ditch...
It does seem like some of the guys on TV only talk about these niche faith doctrines, money, etc. But I've met people from WOF backgrounds who teach on all topics and don't sound greedy and harp on money like some of the folks on TV. I used to think of the ones who only had a few topics they focused on as WOF, but some of these other preachers will call themselves WOF if you ask them.
