In correlation to my story I was reminded of Hebrews 4:12-13 where it says
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [SUP]13 [/SUP]And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
You know I find it quite interesting that the bible protects us against evil, yet it also convicts us of any wrong doing. The sword of the spirit is one of my favorite pieces of armor that I put on, I may not fully understand everything in the bible, but my spirit does and I feel that it is enough.
Part of using the sword is speaking the word against the enemy[Satan, Devil]
Jesus showed us how to wield and use the Sword of the Spirit verbally in Matt 4.1-11 and Luke 4.1-13
God spoke everything into existence, Jesus spoke the word to the enemy and the enemy had to flee, If it is Good for God and Jesus it is good for us. Praying God's word is also using the Sword of the Spirit verbally.
We also know from Isaiah 55.8-11 that God's word will never return to us void.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
