In light of Mother's Day approaching, I thought it would be good to have a thread dedicated to mothers, specifically in a way that demonstrates the wisdom they have passed onto us when we were children growing up and even now as adults (because sometimes moms just never stop talking!!!).
As a child I was bugging my mother once and she said to me "Go play in traffic, it will be good exercise for you." That is how I learned the importance of health (and the life-saving ability to dodge quickly). Thanks Mom!!!
My mother also told me once "If you want to succeed in life, step on the heads of those more successful than you." I think she meant "Stand on the shoulders of those more successful than you." Either way, thanks again Mom!!!
What are some precious pieces of wisdom your mother's have taught each of you?
"My mama always said life is like a box of chocolates, if you get too much of it, you throw-up."
- Forrest Grumpy
P.S. I would like to give an advanced Mother's Day wish to all the mothers here on CC (I don't mean advanced as in 'your old' but advanced meaning................ ahhhh, ya'll know what I mean!!!).
"Do not forsake your mother's teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adore your neck." - Proverbs 1:8-9
