I just received this in my personal email this evening from Jewish Voice Ministries International:

Jewish Voice Ministries International - Email - Potential Prophetic Significance Found

The only place in the Holy Bible (NIV) I can find mention of a red heifer is in Numbers 19:2, "This is a requirement of the law that the Lord has commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke."

Any thoughts on this?

Why did I think the cow had to be from Israel? Does it matter? I've heard this about the red cow before and knew it's significance. Another question is, does the Temple have to be built to sacrifice the calf or does that happen before the Temple is built? Though, none of us knows when, we can know the signs of the times.

Did you click on the article?

Jewish Voice Ministries International - Email - Potential Prophetic Significance Found

Apparently, totally red heifer's are a rarity. I can't honestly say myself because I can't say that I've ever seen one up close enough to examine it. This certain heifer has been examined by a couple of Rabbi's and has been certified to be "kosher."

According this article, the Jewish people see this "red heifer" as either "a sign of apocalyptic times, or as a sign of the imminent arrival of the Messiah whose task it is to defeat the forces of evil and inaugurate an era of peace."

I don't know enough about Jewish history, or culture, or Judaism as a whole, to know exactly how significant this might be. I was just wanting someone with more knowledge to explain it to me.

I read it. It is supposed to come and be used for sacrifice of atonement when the Messiah comes. Sorry, I didn't realise you were asking for answers. I've seen it on some television shows several years ago, too many to remember how many. I can't remember much else. Here's a site that might help: Israel - red heifer - temple worship I don't know how accurate it is. I just did a quick search and lightly scanned the article.

-Solomon cleansed the temple with the ashes of a red heifer.

-Impure priests cleansing the temple must use a mixture of ash and water to purify themselves.

-Only nine red heifers have been used in Israel's history.

As Christians we understand that God will never again accept an animal sacrifice for purification from sin. Jesus Christ accomplished this for us once and for all. So what significance does this birth of a red heifer have to us, if any? The Bible prophesies several specific things for this endtime: (1) The rebirth of the nation of Israel (Ezek. 37) fulfilled in 1948. (2) The rebuilding of the Jewish temple, as the angel said" Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. Third Temple - Revelation 11 v.1 2 Thess. 2 v.3-4) and (3) The resumption of animal sacrifices in Jerusalem. (Dan. 9 v.27)

Thank you nw2u for the info. Wow! Only 9 red heifers have been used in Israel's history. Definitely something that I want to further research. And, I was actually asking dcontroversal if he had read the article? :D Your post came through before I had finished my reply to him. I am so happy I found this site, I cannot even begin to fully explain it. I am going to learn so much, and hopefully will be able to help others when I can.

I don't know much on this subject, but if you google red cows and look at the images, there does seem to be a lot of them and a lot of red breeds. I would have thought some of those would be all red. Does anyone know why a red cow in Isreal is especially significant, don't they have red cow breeds usually?

Hello. The news of ared heifer without blemmish surfaced the first time, for me that is, about twenty years ago. It was related to the building of a third Temple in Jerusalem. When the construction starts on the third Temple, I advise all to prepare for Christ's return, for it will not be long after.

If Israel start to rebuild the temple on the dome of the rock WWIII is likely to start.
There are enough muslim nutcases who will take this as their end times, to try and get a nuclear bomb etc.

Look at prophetic history, and you will find nutcases of every age saying this is the end. The problem is today with the weapons we have we could bring about a total disaster of our own making.

So which do you want? To see prophecy fullfilled or to create a man made disaster because you thought this was "the end"?

Is that what following Jesus and love is all about? No it is not. At best we are just witnesses to the end, not causers of it.

That would fall under this category:

Tit 1:14 not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.

The Jews are lost, they turned away from the truth. You can't believe anything they say when it comes to scripture. There is no significance in a red heifer, animal sacrifice was done away with at the cross.

I have so much to learn, and feel so ignorant right about now. I think I'll continue to focus on reading my bible, and just reading in the forums for now. Maybe asking sincere questions when I have them. Thanks everyone for your comments. :D

Nothing ignorant about asking question... that's how we learn.:D
Just take the answers you get and verify them in the word.

God doesnt need a new Temple to be rebuilt. no.. but man in his carnal religious rebellion Will.. oh you may ask.. how will they get rid of the Dome of the Rock.. with 'war'. no WAIT. the coming man of sin. will bring great Peace to Israel.. supernatural peace by which means.. Israel .. will most likely believe this is the coming messiah. a charismatic flamboyant man . who has no interest in the 'female sex'.. the muslims WILL bow to the coming man of sin.. because he is given 'great power'... the temple will be rebuilt .. and it will come on the heels of a false peace.. God at that time will be giving them strong delusion for them to believe the 'lie'. so many pieces of the puzzle to make up that 'lie' are READY TODAY.. the Dome of the Rock will not be removed by 'war'.. but by peace.. the Dragon is coming with great power .. alllowable power to fulfill the Word of God.. those whose Names are NOT written in the Lamb's Book of life from the Foundation of the World. will continue in error and darkness unto perdition.. indeed! When Daniels 70th Week Starts.. there wont be time for ' let me think on that'. NOPE.. it will move quickly and speedily.. and those in darkness posing as light.. will come with great allowable power and force and persuation and delusion....

keep reading and seeking - according to some of the instigators of all the wars for the last 500 years plus,
ww3 started already (they declared so, supposedly,( and if so, they know, because they are at the 'top' - no one else, human, on earth is above them in the prince of the power of the air) about 05/17/2014)

'an affront' is mashed potatoes compared to the abomination / heresy/ re-crucifixion daily practiced every day for the last several hundred years by billions of people around the earth.....

but yes, not to take it lightly, when the abomination of desolation is seen - immediately obey yahweh and without any hesitation or doubt - above all keep faith by grace in yahshua hamashiach, even to death (which is certain, soon, for billions of people, both of faith and those condemned)...

The first temple was in the wilderness, the third temple was destroyed in AD 70. The 4th temple is under construction right now, it's the body of Christ.
