I hate to argue semantics, but semantics really needs to be argued on occasion.
Christians don't need to be born again. If they are truly Christians they were already reborn. People need to be born again.

You are born again when you commit yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ for Him to be your Saviour. It is not a consequence of Baptism. If you are baptised the moment you truly believe then you can link the two, but only then. That is why Paul did not make a practise of baptising people. He wanted to lead them into faith in Jesus Christ so that they would be born again. He left others to baptise them (1 Cor 1.),

Every epistle in the NT was written to some specific group of Christians in a particular geographic area. Romans was written to the Jewish Christians in Rome. No NT epistles were written to nonbelievers. Paul was not telling those in Rome that as Christians they needed to be born again, he is explaining the process by which they had been born again. He even prefaces this in verse three by saying, "Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?"

Look friend....maybe lay off the juice before you come here....the bible teaches clearly that one who is born again is born again ONCE FOR ALL ETERNITY....so, I am not sure where you get what you are implying and or directing at those of this chat room who believe in eternal security and being born again ONCE FOR ALL...........
Here is what being born again is all about:
When Adam was created, he had both physical and Spiritual life.
When Adam (and Eve) disobeyed he (they) died Spiritually and later died physically.
Because Adam died Spiritually, he did not have Spiritual life to pass to his offspring.
By faith in the promises of Ge 3:15, and Lv 17:11, Old Testament believers had a promise of future Spiritual life.
Since ten days after Jesus ascended into heaven, the Holy Spirit has indwelt believers beginning from the time they come to faith.
This Spiritual indwelling is the restoration of Spiritual life. It is the second birth.
I highly doubt its a mistake error and especially heresy considering these were Jesus own words. To be born again its not like you simply I accept Jesus into my heart because its a condition of the heart. Before I was saved I wanted to be saved but I was not willing to give up my video game addiction, so back then i could have said I accept Jesus into my heart I could have said I was a Christian i could have said i was saved but I knew I wouldnt be because even then I knew it was a change of heart and being.
sadly many say they are Christians many claim to be saved but they are not born again because their hearts were not changed and the evidence of this is their hypocricy their judgmentalness their attacking of all who disagree with them. Being born is is a requirement or else you will just be another person who claims to be saved and yet has no love in their hearts, you need to be changed inside

The fields today are full of weed/tares/ those sown by their spiritual father, the devil, a man made regeneration, even using the word of God at times to fulfill it. .but it was NOT and Is NOT Authorized in Heaven.. but authorized by the one sowing those 'weeds'.. the devil. because he is being allowed to 'sow his seed' to Fulfill the Word of God.. and mosst if not all these weeds will partake of the Harlot of Revelation.. that global apostate corporation that holds out a 'false christ like image'.. GENUINE SALVATION. was Authorized and Brought to Pass According to the Sovereign Determinate Will and Counsel of the Father , this decreed before time and dirt were Created... ye shall know them by their Fruit'.. for those who try to 'LUMP' me into a shcism.. as Calvinism . I DONT FOLLOW CALVIN.. he WAS NOT CRUCIFIED FOR MY SIN. Christ God Manifest in the flesh WAS.. I know nothing about Calvin.. never even knew he existed till a few years ago.. BEING TRULY Regenerated from on High.. is a Work of God.. operation thru the Paraclete, the Spirit of Truth.. its not man made, not man generated as you see today.. but Sovereign. Grounded in the Merits of Christ and His atoning Work at the Tree, as God has Chosen those in Him before the Foundation of the World.. Predetermined to be conformed to the Image of His Son.. this is NOT MAN MADE.. but True Regeneration from on High.. 'ye must be born again!'
Ok so you are asking about osas right? Personally I refuse to go into such debates because I have seen over and over and over what happens when you do and trust me its never good. But my own personal opinion is yes I believe one can fall away because I know how easy it is for the things of the world to distract us or to become our first priority however I also believe if one ever obtained an deep level of intimacy and love with God then its not possible to lose him because you will only fall deeper and deeper in love with him over and over. Believe me the devil has attempted to use the things of the world to distract me to make me lose my love for God but the bond we have together could not be broken.
