Then you are not reading the Bible. Jesus spoke more on hell (where the damned with nash their teeth in pain) then he did on heaven.
Sure, hell (gehenna, hades etc) which itself gets destroyed at judgement.

The soul is never destroyed it is eternal.

Going to bed I had a very tiresome day, walked so much that my calves hurt.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy (apolesai- see definition below) both soul and body in hell.
