Hey guys!

I'm considering organizing a study in the "Bible Study" chat room sometime soon, possibly this Friday (probably around 8pm PST or so). The subject is one that I feel all Christians should be very well acquainted with, which is something called "Wisdom Christology."

In essence, Wisdom Christology explains exactly what role Jesus plays in the Trinity, how it is possible for Him to be equal to God and yet subordinate, and also reveals some great insight into how the early church formed the doctrine of Trinitarianism (that is, the belief in a triune god).

So if you're confused about how the Trinity actually "works" or have trouble explaining it to people, you really don't wanna miss out on this! Even if you do believe you have a good grasp on Trinitarianism, I would still encourage you to attend this study, should it get off the ground. Unless you're already familiar with Wisdom Christology, I promise you will learn something new and most valuable! This knowledge has also helped me greatly when speaking with JW's and other such cultists in regards to who Jesus is as a divine figure and the integrity of the Trinity doctrine.

So, would anybody be interested?

You have to be more stupid than stupid to believe that Jesus Christ is God.
Did you rip out all the verses in your Bible that say Jesus was the Son of God?

That's pretty rude to call him stupid seeing as that's the belief of most Christians (that I know anyway).

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God John 1:1

Mark 13:32-37
"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."

I don't think the Time is withheld from Christ, I don't believe anything is withheld from Christ.
Rather that Christ humbles himself to let us know He is watching the signs like we are. I believe He is willingly able and purposely does not know the hour or day out of humility for our benefit.

But about the Son He (God) says

Your throne, O God will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the sceptre of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness
therefore God, your God has set you above your companions by annointing you with the oil of joy.
Heb1:8&9

In the begining was the word, and the word was with(at the side of) God. And the word was God. (Heb1:9)

I think it has to do with Phillipians 2:7. Do you agree Mikre?

FATHER - WORD - HOLY GHOST

NOT SURE ABOUT ANY OF YOU
BUT THIS TO ME MAKES
JESUS CHRIST.......GOD

AND CONSIDERING THE SOURCE
WHO
MAKES MENTION TO THIS REVELATION
THE MAN HIMSELF

Haha, gotta love the trolls. Proverbs 18:2 all the way. xD

I appreciate the rebuttals, but the question still stands: Are you guys up for a Bible study? If anyone else wants to debate whether Jesus is God or attack the integrity of the Trinity, we can do it in a live discussion, as I did not start this thread with the intention of such a thing. Just trying to organize an event : )

I totally agree we should go by the person who wrote so much of the New Testament Amen

Then the end will come, when he(Jesus) hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has desdtroyed all dominion, authority and power.
For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he has put everything under his feet.
Now when it says that everything has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God Himself who put everything under Christ.
When he has done this, then the son himself will be made subject to Him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

That does tie in with Jesus claim to be the Son of God

1Cor15:24-28

Please stay on topic everyone, I did not start this looking for verification on whether or not Jesus is God. I started this to ask people if they'd want to attend a live Bible study on Friday night in the chat rooms. So far I've gotten no answers. : (

So stay on topic please, thanks!

It's too early for me to say. If I can, I would participate.

He sure was why wouldn't he be? It's one way to think this way, it's another to call someone stupid for Christ is Lord of Lords.

Well since no one is bothering to read the first post I guess I should have this thread closed? It keeps spinning way off topic. Kind of frustrating, I'll be honest. : /
