You know, it's actually always really surprising to me that people say over and over again that I'm "analytical".

All my life I've been around a lot of people who are very good at things I'm terrible at, and one of those things was always logical thinking (in the context of mastering science, technology, and business.) I was never good at any of those things and usually seen as the oddball who paid attention to "mindless fluff" like emotions over "logical" facts. I was just surrounded in environments in which logic was highly prized over emotion (6 years studying behavioral psychology is a good example because it doesn't take emotion into account.)

And so, I've always associated "logical" with "analytical"... so I have NEVER seen myself as analytical, just a little different from the rest of crowd.

In Seoulspeak... "I'm just trying to figure things out." :p Even if I have to draw myself (terrible) pictures!

seoulsearch- Very well spoken and intelligent, always an interesting thought, you have a nice, if subtle sense of humor, and you seem to genuinely care about people :).

misscriss - From what little I've seen - Original. You have a lot to say, but your threads/topics are usually a fun read. Good personality; witty. I think you have a strong sense of who you are and won't back down from that :).

Kim, I don't see you as analytical...Logical, yes. Curious, very. I would say you're very smart, well-spoken, empathetic, and always wanting to learn more about the people around you. I think that your unique background has made you strong, kind, and interested in the experiences of others.

Gary, I think you are smart, tender hearted, and have a quirky sense of humor...I also think you have good intentions but maybe have a hard time really connecting with people, which means that your words get misconstrued sometimes even when you meant well.
"That's it... You got it... Nail-on-the-head... incredibly accurate observation." ;) :D

*hugs Cristen* Thanks to you and others for your kind words. :)

BruceWayne--you always strike me as someone who is a lot of fun!! Good sense of humor, easy-going, willing to take others as they are or meet them halfway.

You're willing to take on a wide variety of subjects, and you approach others with respect and empathy.

Analytical? No no no seoulsearch, you misunderstand. Logical, definitely. But I only put you on the sidelines analyzing players because that's the only place I could imagine you fitting that scene. And you would only be analyzing the players because the coach paid you to - by the hour, probably. If he hadn't been paying you, you would probably be doing something much more worthwhile.

You know me too well, Lynx. :) Though I'm starting to wonder if I missed out on a career in Analytical Consulting...

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!

Otherwise, I'll be at home reading, making something, or posting on CC, of course.

*Side Note* Isn't it funny how a lot of these posts read like fortune cookies??? ;) I'm expecting to read, "You are... strong-willed, confident, and well-liked by others. Something good will happen this week. And, you are particularly fond of Kung Pao Chicken."

Gary as well. He's going to state what he thinks. And if he doesn't believe he can say what he's REALLY thinking, he just won't say anything at all.

Which I personally believe is preferable to a prettied-up fabrication.

I'd rather know where a person stands than where they would want you to believe they stand.
LOL

..........

You forgot the lucky numbers! On the other side of the paper it has your lucky numbers.

And the "chicken" isn't chicken...

Oh, I was GOING to mention the "Lucky Numbers" but I figured... If I mentioned the words "lucky" and "numbers" together... it would have attracted way too many Bible Discussion subscribers looking for someone to blast (surely their radars would pick up such a heathen word as "lucky".)

Then I could mention the fact that I knew a guy who used to play the lotto using the numbers off his fortune cookies and... Yeah. That would have ended this poor thread in a big explosion right there... and I don't want that to happen, because it's been a really fun thread.

This is not the "questions only" thread. :p

Or are you trying to show us how to keep a lynx in suspense?

Alas, Lynx, it was one of my siblings who did this... and... no one in my family is rolling in piles of unearned money... so apparently, it doesn't work. Oh well. Back to the (analytical) drawing boards.

There is a dessert personality test that's supposed to be accurate.. Each person I've used it on, they've been impressed at how accurate it was.

Olerica, you have a certain tenacity and sassiness that makes you easy to be open with, but you're also very sweet natured and observant and introspective. I like that you know who you are and what you want in life. You have a very...refreshing personality :)
