I'm in the PDT zone, which I think is Alaska, too! At least the Panhandle, which I lived 10 minutes away from for 2 years.

Here's my prophecy:

Nothing is going to happen, not today, and not tomorrow. Mr. Herald is going to continue these insane prophecies in real life, mixing metaphors, finding meaning where there is none, and he is eventually going to be carried away....

"to the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time, and I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats..."

Ooops! Wrong thread and forum!
LOL! Thank-you, you seriously made my night-- but, been there, done that-- they determined I was NOT crazie... But, I wouldn't mind going to the emotional health unit for some R&R- the food is great there!

But, the first time I went to the "funny farm" as you described, was not very funny. I was suffering deeply and intensely. I practically begged nurses at times to visit and chat since it brought be out of the intense suffering briefly.
I was there--April of 1987-- April 12th if I remember right, for over three weeks. One of the reasons I was there was because I believed the end of the world was imminent--
It's not a delusion anymore...

See? This is why I never change the clocks on that daylight savings and loan thingy. I think it's a communist plot to undermine the youth ofAmerica. Plus I'm lazy.

No, only if we do. :p
Did I mention I have a cuckoo clock?

I'm thinking of taking it to my meetings.
"First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the truth and do every thing they desire. This will be their argument: 'Jesus promised to come back, did he? Then where is he? Why, as far back as anyone can remember, everything has remained exactly the same since the world was first created." They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of his command, and he brought the earth up from the water and surrounded it with water. Then he used the water to destroy the world with a mighty flood. And God has also commanded that the heavens and the earth will be consumed by fire on the day of judgement, when ungodly people will perish."

But you must not forget, dear friends, that a day [or hour] is like a thousand years to the LORD, and a thousand years is like a day." (2 Peter 3:3-8) (brackets added)

Herald, i think Hawaii is GMT minus 10, right? just two hours west of the International Date Line?

but do we count American Samoa? cos it's an hour further east.

in any case, i plan to kiss my husband and go to sleep about 10 EDT.

God is sovereign. :)
I'll take a break and get back with the info on the dateline, but, like I said earlier, it's not about exact predictions. The geologist only gave a warning based on credible evidence. He predicted a "mega-quake" which would be over 8.0 if I'm not mistaken, and gave a tsunami warning. He did not predict the end of the world.

I'm only confirming his warning also based on credible evidence-- and faith...

Well, Herald, we are past the deadline. So please no more prophecies?

Since this prediction once again did not come to pass, are you willing to admit you might have a problem? Someone with a history of mental illness really needs to consider that putting things together wrongly in an effort to predict the end of the world is a sign of at least mild psychosis. I am not saying this to be mean or revile you. I run a bipolar support group, and I recognize the symptoms, and worry that your condition might worsen.

As for earthquakes being a sign for now, not so much! The prophecy in Matt 24 was to the disciples and Jesus followers from 33 AD, when Jesus died, rose and ascended to heaven, and 70 AD when Rome destroyed the temple and Jerusalem.

The largest earthquake in continental US history was epicentered in Missouri on the New Madrid fault. Were this same quake to repeat today, it would be devastating due to the populating of the area affected. This earthquake changed the course of the Mississippi and rang church bells in New England.

Recently, due to fracking, there have been hundreds of tremors in, of all places, Oklahoma.

It is next to impossible to accurately predict earth movement. All geologists are able to do at present is give a very large window of time for movement in any given area, however even those windows of time can be in error.

I forgot to mention, when the earthquake occurred and changed the course of the Mississippi, it created Earthquake Lake, Google it...............

www(dot)INQUISITR(dot)com
has a story about geologist Jim Berkland who has predicted a mega earthquakie to hit the USA today, FRIDAY, 2016. I believe this man has credibility. I met a man by chance in the Captain Cook hotel last year who mentioned Mr. Berkland. The Captain Cook hotel was being built in 1964 in alaska when the GOOD FRIDAY quake hit at 5:36 PM, March 27th, 1964. I believe people should take Mr. Berkland seriously.

I say this with love, but you are a nut who needs to stop putting stock into man-made prophecies.. :) Oh and the National Inquisitr is a rag mag full of gossip and drama, and is NOT a credible news source..

*shrug* i went to work. i'm going to bed soon. i didn't take all the glass off of the shelving in the house or anything.

i thought of that this morning when i saw this post too: "so? should i go to work, or stand in a doorway all day? or a field? what does he expect me to do? be afraid? meh, i'm going to work."
Probably without really meaning to, I think you hit upon the very essence of the intent of all this "scary" end-times fear so many have bought into. Just the opposite of what Jesus CONSTANTLY preached, we are letting ourselves "be anxious", "worry", and "be fearful." ALL this end-times hoopla is totally counter to Jesus' teaching. It is AntiChrist thinking...... "Thinking that is against Christ."

Did you know that despite Hal Lindsey being REPEATEDLY wrong, idiots have given him WAY over 100 Million dollars in book sales.... and many STILL consider him to be our greatest prophet? (And that is just ONE of these fools that so many people flock after like lemmings, and have made obscenely rich.)

And when the next one comes along, they will be right there, clamoring to shell out their hard-earned money to hear their idiocy.

No wonder the Atheists keep on laughing right in our faces. We actually shame our Savior with much of our stupid antics.

"Faith?" Hardly! You are just displaying faith in what a MAN said.... trusting his expertise in claiming he can predict the future.

One scenario I dreamed up while in my own geology studies concerns the "Canadian Shield," a very large formation of precambrian rock strata underlying much of the north of the US. The southern limit crosses the Great Lakes. It was weighted down by continental glaciation, according to man's theories, and it is quite ersilient It occurred to me that because it is depressed still and it is still resilient, it is possible, with the interplay of fault systems and release of pressure holding it down that it could one day rise somewhat or a lot. It could actually cause the overflow of some of the lakes, and the only direction for the overflow to flow is south. Depending upon just how resilient this shield is is how severe the shift of waters would be. Crazy? Probably. I rely on Christ's list of signs of what was to occur before His return, and oft times it cause me to to see a correlation between His words and other possibilities. This about the Canadian Shield is not one of them, but it is interesting to ponder.

I see some low-lying spots in Ontario too, including Ottawa and Montreal. It's possible emptying the lakes would mean the water goes north up the St. Lawrence. Compared to the depth of those lakes, is Niagra Falls too much for the floods to wipe out?

(Hey, don't want to scare Canadians. Just don't want those "thousand" lakes and your cities to get wiped out either.)

Yeah, but the laughing and scoffing is about JESUS NOT earthquake predictions that add fodder for the laughers and scoffers!

The movie "San Andreas" was on HBO today.

Maybe that's what the OP meant...

THIS is really funny! Verizon says we get free HBO til April 23. My wife and I flipped by "San Andreas" last night. I also remember why we don't get any premium channels to begin with as we flipped through, there were some "soft" porn shows going on. My boys and I can do without that temptation. Thank you very much.

Hey just checking in did the earthquake happen?
We looked out of our front window this morning, and we were shocked to see that our neighbor's car was Gone... Completely... Vanished !!! (Then we remembered that she had an early doctor's appointment this morning.)
