Good Morning
Something pretty funny happened this morning..ppl being incspable of getting my name right.
I was on my way home after the doc and an older man yelled " good morning jassmenta!" And me barely having any voice because of my cold yelled " De-mel-za" back.
So then he yelled " okay Cementa! "

My name has been messed up many times. Am I the only one this has happened to
**** I don' t know if this is what the Lord is saying to you----Demelza is a name having to do with a fortress--- you are strong--- the name Jassmenta is a fragrant flower---you are sweet to the Lord--- the name Cements has to do with roots and protection---He is grounding you in His Word...

Demelza means " your sweet one " so u r off with the fortress. Idk I doubt God trying to speak to me through an elderly man with a hearing problem, misunderstanding my name

Is Demi a nickname people call you by. Demelza is pretty easy to remember but i can see how it can be difficult for someone ppl to pronounce especially for old people.

Hahahahahahaha it's Owain lol difficult to describe how to pronounce because the letter "O" is pronounced differently in welsh and english haha. If we do speak one day like over something we can have fun learning how to say my name lol
O-wayne is what an English speaker would say just using English Phonetics.. What we really need is a video of someone saying it the right way . :)

You need to quit talking about me that way..... I prefer "seasoned" to "elderly"......

People misunderstand my name over the phone all the time. I get called "Josh" about as much as my real name.

The company I work for has customers that resell our product under their own moniker. One reseller of ours tries to maintain the appearance of having their own dedicated tech support, so they asked us to use a different phone number and different names for when their customers reach out to us. Guess which name I ended up with? Lol...

No it has happened to me a few times . You would think how can you mess up Bill it's so simple, right ? Nope .
It has happened mostly with folks that are unfamiliar with English . Here is one example that makes me laugh. A few years back when the wife and I were in Mexico visiting family. My wife was introducing me to a old friend of hers. She said she never met someone named Beal . My wife said it's Bill with a short i sound and the name was short for William she gets this look of recognition on her face and says Billiam . So even to this day some of the folks there call me Billiam . Ha ha ha
Blessings
Bill
