Usually when I do a search, it comes up with the single word I am looking for on the first few searches but then the other searches do not have the word. Hmmm, what am I doing wrong? Is it just that some of the other searches will have the word I am looking for on another page and I have to search the multiple pages? You would think it would take you to the page the word is on.

Do you use the advanced search function at the top right of the page here? If for example, you do a search for "bible verses", several threads will pop up. Many of which are mine. LOL. Just click on the thread you want, but be sure it's a more current thread and not one from several years ago..

Yes, I use the advanced search. Thank you for the Bible verses example. I will enjoy reading them.

Often the in-house search engine will not give me what I am looking for. I have to go to Google and search for Christianchat.com and the search term I need. It gives me results for my search terms from christianchat.com.

And I have no idea what anybody is talking about Halloween for. I didn't do anything... :D

That makes sense. Way to think outside the box. Pleading innocent to the whole Halloween thing, huh? LOL

Inhouse search engines are often too lazy. So is some of the others as well. I was advised to start using Duckduckgo because it didn't trace you. Well, it didn't trace anything else either...

Yeah, what she said. I never have had much luck with the duckduck. And I tried it extensively because for a while it was the default Linux Mint search engine (in the default Firefox browser) and I really wanted to give it a chance. But eventually I went back to google.
