I agree,

But we do not find out how by the law.. We find out how by setting our minds on the things of God, and not on ourselves (love or the first two commands)
But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:33 RSV

When we obey the Lord, we have peace.

Yes, isn't it strange?
Gods Holy and Perfect Law, if followed by our own understanding and strength, is anti-gospel.
I am trying to capture in my mind how obeying the law is anti-gospel?
There is a reality I am missing, the elephant in the room. It is believed all fail as to the
law, so it is a false tread mill, which forever condemns but always promises.
So religion is replacing Jesus's righteousness with our attempts at righteousness, which will
always fail and be empty but appears to offer hope.
The counter argument is taken we will always fail, maybe admitting this and Jesus takes sin
off the table through the cross, the only issue is putting faith in Christ or not.

The third argument is walking in Christ with an open heart, truly washed clean and repentant
with emotions open and flowing, we can walk righteously, fulfill the law, and walk in
the Spirit with communion with Christ, we are overcomers of evil.

I have always experienced the gospel as a gospel of the heart, get that right and all else will
flow. I know the pharisees did the best with a bad lot, and end up in hypocracy, which is similar
to the legalist position, but also is the mirror image of the Christ does all, we are lost position.

I kind of feel odd, being in the middle of all these positions, and knowing I cannot deny where
I am or its reality, just declare open your heart and believe and God will make it happen for you.

The law is like a lock to keep out those who have not the right qualifications spiritually, and
in their approach. What if you pass, it is not an issue and condemnation is not there.

Im just trying to figure out why people do not believe the OT is relevant to the NT.

I am trying to understand do people now believe following and listening to what the Bible teaches has become selfish works?

Or does people now believe God does all the work in us and we have no choice. As God chose us and we had no choice to respond, God gives us the faith to believe and we are not responsible for making the faith grow but if someone so happens to grow weak in faith and walk away from God this only idicates he was never saved. This dont makes sense. I mean do people not believe in spiritual warfare and satin no more. And how he still is at war with us after salvation to destroy us.

I just see this thinking as puppet theology and it takes the human role out of choosing to follow. I truly believe God values free will and wants a relationship with us. He wants us to surrender to him and choose to follow his teachings.

When did this become selfish to want to follow God?
If we are not surrendering to God we are living in rebellion in which God does not tolerate.

It becomes selfish when you do it to get saved, Stay saved, or stop from losing salvation. As so. Many of the people are teaching. It becomes heresy when you teach it..

Or one little incubator ready to hatch before they started. (Kids are great to start an epidemic.)

So you don't agree with God's word?
How do you define God's Word? I define God's Word as those instances in the Bible where God or Jesus are quoted.
I believe theoretically a person can undergo eternal damnation, but only if they refuse to repent throughout all of eternity.

Why is the Christian guy using the back door to come in and out of the bar where we meet to talk?
They are Christians explaining the gospel. They just happen to be Israeli jews.

So they would have said;

Why is the Canadian using the back door to come in and out of the bar where we meet?

He must be a _______... (baptist, presby, lutheran, non-denom)
