Yea I do have a question fgt regarding the text that your quoting at Matthew 16:16. The Apostle Peter said to the one person of Jesus Christ that He/Jesus Christ is (1) the Christ/Messiah and (2) the Son of God. So why was Jesus accused of blasphemy for claiming to be the Son of God at Matthew 26:63-65 since the Jews themselves also claim to be the sons of God? In other words, what was it that Jesus claiming that He was the Son of God so upset the Jews?

IN GOD THE SON,

I cannot help you with this you have asked of me.
I can only help those who can believe me.

What is "the deity of God"?
You need to explicitly explain this phrase!
I have already stated the answer to this question.
If you cannot comprehend it by now you will not comprehend anything else I will say.

Jesus Christ is the deity of God.

No explanation is required to them that can believe.

Have you ever notice that unbelievers always require an explanation?

I comprehend very well!
I can see very clearly that you cannot substantiate your position from Scripture!

The Spirit is neither Greek Hebrew or English.

So not only do you not believe in the deity of Christ, but you do not believe the Bible? The Bible is the revelation of God. It reveals Jesus Christ, who is God. It also reveals the Holy Spirit!

That is your problem! Start reading the Bible, and you will learn the truth of who Jesus is!

God with us = Immanuel. That is Hebrew, and transliterated into Greek as Emmanuel. And in English - God with us! Very simple.

Jesus is God with us!

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel." Isa. 7:14

"Ἰδοὺ ἡ παρθένος ἐν γαστρὶ ἕξει καὶ τέξεται υἱόν, καὶ καλέσουσιν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἐμμανουήλ· ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον Μεθ’ ἡμῶν ὁ θεός." Matt 1:23

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Matt 1:23 KJV

"Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,

and they shall call his name Immanuel” Matt 1:23 ESV

So you claim. I claim that you have made more claims
than you can remember in your life that were not true.
That you thought were true.

Really?

This is not even good English! Here is the definition of deity:

  • the creator and supreme being (in a monotheistic religion such as Christianity).
    noun: Deity; noun: the Deity

How can Jesus be the "deity of God??" The supreme being!

You are saying "Jesus Christ is the god of God?" Well, I guess that establishes you as a JW, regardless of your protestations to the contrary. Or maybe a Christadelphian. I remember arguing for a 100 pages with a Christadelphian about the deity of Christ. I didn't know Greek then, but then, the way you ignored the obvious Greek proving Jesus is God, I suppose it wouldn't have done any good then, either.

He wouldn't admit ever, even when pressed that he was Christadelphian. Is that standard for Christadelphians?

If you cannot believe why
waste your time asking questions for answers you cannot believe.

That is not wise.

It's much more pathetic that you should need this instruction!
Go Angela!
Your temptations to provoke me to anger and to speak evil of you
is not going to work for you.

I find it rather amusing that you have not figured it out by now.

Perhaps you could explain who believes this?
What group or theological position?

I cannot help you with this you have asked of me.
I can only help those who can believe me.
Wait a minute fgt, your the one that said the following: "If you have any questions concerning understanding this scripture
I will be happy to answer them all for you.

I will teach you right from the text."

So teach me? Here, let me help you out with and easy question? Why are you here on these forums posting? I'll be glad to tell you one of the reasons I'm here. It is to engage theological innovators like yourself and, by challenging your claims, (whatever they are) to get you to expose the errors of your assumptions, inferences and conclusions for any interested parties to see for themselves. I really thank you for assisting me and you've been a big help fgt, "forgot theology?"

You want me to start reading my bible? Alright I will start here.

1 Timothy 2:12
Oh! Let's see, I have posted pages and pages and pages on 1 Tim 2:12 and what it means in Greek. Feel free to google one of the many threads in this forum on "Women in Ministry" "Women as Pastors," "Can Women be Pastors" etc.

It's kind of funny! When you can't defend yourself, you resort to this kind of nonsense. One verse, supposedly trying to silence me?

Fortunately, neither God, my congregation, or any of the people here, even those who do not believe women can be pastors has ever thrown this against me! This is a forum, not a church.

So please, defend yourself against Daniel Wallace, or Bill Mounce, or Granville Sharp! All men, all whom I have quoted above. They are fine MEN of God, who have taught me much!

And these Greek scholars are adamant if you do not believe Jesus is God, then you are not a Christian. In other words, not saved!

God has called me to be a diligent worker in studying the word of truth!

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." 2 Tim. 2:15 ESV

"σπούδασον σεαυτὸν δόκιμον παραστῆσαι τῷ θεῷ, σπούδασον σεαυτὸν δόκιμον παραστῆσαι τῷ θεῷ, ἐργάτην ἀνεπαίσχυντον, ὀρθοτομοῦντα τὸν λόγον τῆς ἀληθείας.ἀνεπαίσχυντον, ὀρθοτομοῦντα τὸν λόγον τῆς ἀληθείας." 2 Tim. 2:15

Please note that
ἐργάτην - worker - is genderless. Well, technically it is masculine in gender, but not in sexual identity, because in Greek, the person doing the "thing" in this case "studying" is always the masculine. And the "studying" is always feminine. But, ergaten is a word that can be used for anyone who choses to study.

And although it was addressed to Timothy, Paul is addressing false teachers, and how studying the Bible is the best way to argue with those who have false teachings.

So, I have presented many Bible verses, written by men. You have produced none! You certainly have not addressed the "I am" statements, Granville Sharp Rule, or John 1:1 which I posted.

Feel free to stop being stupid and address anything I have written, by showing me wrong. Ad hominem attacks are not going to make it in this forum.

Or in the Kingdom of God!

It is from the doctrine of Christ.

Except ye be converted, and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
