Now the point is God designated the Seventh day, not man.
I wuld offer. The word Sabbath is not a time sensitive word. Anytime we hear his voice and do not harden of our hearts in the twinkling of the eye we have entered His rest as Christ works in us to both will and do His good pleaure . A Sabbath rest in respect to the true fast can be performed on any day that is called today.

God has never changed the order of creation to suite the whims of misguided, totally errant men.
The new order of the new creation is in respect to the new era of Sabbaths. The new era of Sabbaths marks the beginning of the last days .

The first day of the week, creation day is when He said let there be light and there was .or let there be children of light that have entered His rest .

The word Sabbaths is not a synonym for the word week or the word Saturday. It means rest when properly paraphrased according to the literal meaning of the literal words words

Mat 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

1 And on the eve of the sabbaths, at the dawn, toward the first of the sabbaths, came Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre, Mathew 28:1 YLT

Find the meaning of the fast, find the rest associated with it

Yes they are.

All days are a delight
COLOSSIANS 3:17 Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him.

If you understand my post you willunderstand it is saying the Seventh day will always be teh Seventh day.

As for the word sabbath, thyat is the name of the seventh day, rest.

As for Sabbaths, there truly are many. The one I look forward to the most is the Thousand years of peace........that follows six thousand years of working towards that sabbath.

If I want to observe a day that God made, I will do it with a clear consciend in His sight. He has not changed that order eithre.

Continue inferring it is wrong, that is of man, but I will continue hearing th FAther.

There are so many folks here that are dying for me to say they must "keep the sAbbath" in the manner they all think of keeping the SAbbath...... Keeptryinñg. I believe the Father and it will always be the Seventh Day...

Again, there are many sabbaths but only one SAbbath of the Lord, and it hails the futre with Him o earth for a thousand years...but this is not understood.

I mind, but I am over it.

Today it came to me that the Sabbath Commandment reminds us of our Creator...who worked six days and rested the 7th..

GOD wants us to love and obey Him to keep us safe.

It is a comfort.

Which brings home the Messiah teaching us the Great Commandment and the second like it... we learn we are evil and not able to love and obey... until the Messiah came to gather and make us New by the Holy Spirit allowing us to worship in Spirit and Truth.

If GOD tells us not to eat of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil we will not because we love GOD and Trust Him always.. by His Grace and love shown.

We are in the world and GOD tells us those that Love Him Keep His Commandments.

The Messiah teaches us to Keep the Commandments...

Why not set your heart to believe this?

what authority does any one else have to teach against this?

Repent and believe.

Do you know the Father and Son? Are they not one? So why refuse their Truth.

Glory to the Almighty GOD and our Messiah always and forever.

Peace and Blessings.

To note:

Anything being done with the veil of Moses between you and GOD is not in Faith and Love...

Only Faith in the Messiah will please GOD and rightly so.

May the Lord help keep your mind resting in Him on the sabbath day as He helps you rest in Him every day, because you are not justified by keeping the sabbath day commandment. When you acknowledge that, then you are obeying Him by believing in Him for that sabbath day too over the former commandment to keep the sabbath day holy, otherwise you are not resting in Him on the sabbath day. You are still "working" "for" Him to keep the sabbath day holy to be justified in keeping it.

Hebrews 4:1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.[SUP] 2 [/SUP]For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.[SUP] 3 [/SUP]For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.[SUP] 4 [/SUP]For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.[SUP] 5 [/SUP]And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.[SUP] 6 [/SUP]Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:[SUP] 7 [/SUP]Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.[SUP]8 [/SUP]For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.[SUP]9 [/SUP]There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.[SUP]10 [/SUP]For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.[SUP]11 [/SUP]Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

So if you rest in Him on the sabbath day too, then you do so because you do not have to obey the commandment to keep the sabbath day holy when you honor Him that day.

Any one that seeks to obey the commandment of keeping the sabbath day holy so as to not to sin, are not really honoring Him nor resting in Him on that sabbath day when He is Lord of the sabbath.
Here I'm Hebrews the testimony is for honoring the Sabbath day and sin is a violation of the law as Roman's makes clear. A jewdeiser would have you convert to the Jewish religion and forsake Messiah Yahshua. I don't want to go their, Messiah the lord of the Sabbath day still lives and rests on it as well. Jewish leaders would bring the "law of Moses " against him to condemn him however he always shows them he breaks not even the slightest bit of a command of Elohim. We being children of light are called to obedience however the teaching of men has polluted the purity of the Faith of Messiah. We are of the faith of Abraham which the word speaks of, "so ABRAHAM believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness." also it says, "Abraham kept the commands, ordinance, and judgments of Elohim.
In the book of Acts we can find over 50 times the believers in Messiah kept the Sabbath. In Hebrews the author puts forward an argument that Messiah didn't speak of another day, the Sabbath day still stands as a shadow now for the thousand year reign of Messiah Yahshua and his saints. Why would you not keeping with the word honor the day in remembrance of creation and now the renewed creation all while waiting for the certain Hope to come? They as Hebrews say had the gospel preached to them meaning Israel. What did they not do? Honor the Sabbath day and sin not. Wow Messiah Yahshua is not a day He is the beginning and the end and Lord of the Sabbath. To say Adam was the Sabbath day would have been wrong and he was high priest of the garden before the fall. If Messiah is the Sabbath then show me where it says that the Sabbath day is our priest. No the priest is a title as Sabbath is a day. The one who gives all things life does his work and we are to cease from ours on a day and not fail to enter in because of lack of belief and not mixing the word with faith.

COLOSSIANS 3:1 If then you were raised together with Christ,

seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.
Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.

I have learned in order to avoid confusion becausethe word Sabbath is not a time sensitive word. Changing the meaning of a word can change the authors intent .Because he rested on the 7th day does not change the meanng from rest to Saturaday or the phrase last day of the week . The word Sabbath has nothing to do with the word week, a time senitive word
That is a hard sell when Colossians addressed not regarding holy days or the sabbath days.

Colossians 2:[SUP]15 [/SUP]And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.[SUP]16 [/SUP]Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:[SUP]17 [/SUP]Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

The use of the terms sabbath days in that verse is time sensitive in that respect to warn believers not to judge any believer by it.

The moment we try to squeeze the rest term into a time senitive word we have lost its purpose. It is a ceremony law used in ceremonies to begin with. Not a moral law. Worshipping shadows is forbidden and adding another meaning to a word is to violate the law.

It is a ceremonial law that that is designed for us to work to bring the gospel into the world, a day set apart from the 6 days of servile work needed to care for one self. And not a day set aside to not move and expect "well done"to be heard on high . The ceremonial fast is related to the work of bringing the gospel, the food of salvation to the lost. The kind of fast that can drive out the demons as lying spirits which the disciples could not cast out because they did not understanding the working of the gospel or the fast .
Jesus is Lord of the sabbath to glorify how Him being in us and with us always is why believers that are profaning the actual sabbath day are blameless as it is His righteousness apart from the law is bringing us Home as He is able to make us stand.

I do believe many fear the Sabbath (the man stoned for collecting sticks)... but the Lord leads the way... learn from His Testimony it is a delight and not a burden..

The man was stoned because he was disobedient and we must learn that sin equates death...

We are now at Liberty by the Grace of GOD.... where we can sin no more and recieve Everlasting life by Keeping the Royal law.. our circumcised heart sets us apart.

I have yet to see a person judge another by how they Keep Sabbath... because we each serve Heavenly Father and our Messiah and must not be like the Pharisees... who had people fearing to move.. yet the Messiah called them out as hypercrites.... many times...

You have to remember that we here are obeying our Master by writing these things to you.. accusations are not able to stop the power of love.

When was the Sabbath established?
Did God want us to keep from that time?

Gen 2.3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

It was blessed and sanctified (set apart) from the start.

Do you agree that Adam and Eve kept the Sabbath with God?

If the Sabbath was set up before the fall, and a gift from God, it was a delight to obey. It could not have had anything to do with shadows or ceremonies leading to Christ because before sin there was no need for Jesus to die.

They did!
But it was NOT a day it was a state of being - and it was lost as soon as they sinned!

We are of the faith of Abraham which the word speaks of, "so ABRAHAM believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness." also it says, "Abraham kept the commands, ordinance, and judgments of Elohim.
You have a contention here. Better read Romans 4th chapter again.

Romans 4:1What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?[SUP] 2 [/SUP]For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.[SUP]3 [/SUP]For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.[SUP]4 [/SUP]Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.[SUP] 5[/SUP]But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.[SUP]6 [/SUP]Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,[SUP] 7 [/SUP]Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.[SUP]8 [/SUP]Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

So you cannot add that latter art of that quote about the works of Abraham when it is without works by believing in Him was how Abraham had pleased God.

In the book of Acts we can find over 50 times the believers in Messiah kept the Sabbath.
You cannot even point one reference, brother, because they were doing outreach ministry to the Jews on the sabbath day in meeting in their synagogues. They were not holding christian services in Jewish synagogues. They were holding christian services on the first day of the week where the order is given out to all the churches in taking a portion from the bounty collected for setting aside for the ministry of the saints.

1 Corinthians 16:1Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.[SUP] 2 [/SUP]Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Now I know you can read those scripture plainly when you set aside the scripture of the Old Testament to see what is actually going on in the churches in the New Testament by the grace of God and His help.

Me too!

Now that I am retired - I like Mondays too...and Thursdays...and....
In 4 years 9 months 10 days 3 hours 2 minutes and 10 seconds, I will be saying the same thing. Not that I'm counting.

I've been trying to live by an inspirational quote that I recently read, which said - "Don't count the days, but make the days count." :)

Which is nice for you... but but not really relevant or in place of a Commandment of GOD.... if you will not keep or teach then maybe just refrain and not hinder anyone who seeks to love and obey Heavenly Father and the Messiah..

They want that because they still after all this time have not worked out that you don't believe what they are arguing against. They apply views of the Sabbath that you don't have and argue against those views you don't have and are not making.

It just shows they are not really listening to you at all. They are only fighting their own views of the Sabbath thus straw man arguments.

We all are in need of the grace of God. To set aside the commandment or Sabbath is nullifying the law just as the Head did In Messiah's day. Except for making a fence, (law of Moses) around the law we have forbid anyone by fear to approach the law to see for themselves it is good for instruction in righteousness for themselves.

My posts are what I read and understand from the Word. They are not my view, they are derived from what Jesus has taught,

If I passon only what if rom my "thinking" I am false.

Jesus tells the man to obey the commandments, He does ot say obey the commandmetnst but overlook the Sabbath.

In the Old Testament we are given the Sabbath as a gift.

Again, about lawws Jesus teache we apply them with faith, mercy and justice. None of what I have posted is just from me.. Not even how I believe and obey the commandmet of theSabbath.

Also, for those who only refer to Paul, kPaul teaches if a man oberve on day over another, and he does it with a good conscience in the sight of God, he is without sin.

I have pointed out this last teaching to all with the addition that i OBSERVE WHAT pAUL SAYS CONCERNING OTHERS, SO WHEN THEY GSAY THEY BELIEVE THE sABBATH IS sUNDAY OR ANY DAY WITH A GOOD CONSCIENCE, THEY ARE WITHOUT BLAME.

What here is not from the Word with understanding by the Holy Spirit! wHAT HERE IS DERIVED SOLELY FROM MY UNDERSTANDING AND NOT TEACHING FROM THE ALMIGHTY. (fORGIE THE CAPS).
