"
I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University."

William F. Buckley, Jr
Given the make up of the current government, it seems to me that we have a long way to go to be free of the Harvard influence.

Seems like your an expert now on Jurist and interpreting the law!

Too bad your not a judge!

LOL OPPS YOUR NOT!

Considering that they hold a title of a Judge I believe their interpretation of the law has much more credibility than yours.

Just like the Judges in the the existing Supreme Court have different backgrounds and political views I still believe their grounds for reasoning on various laws is justified.

Basically what I am saying is..........

YOUR STATEMENT MEANS NOTHING.

HAVE A NICE DAY!

Actually, it WAS NOT Unconstitutional.......it was INTERPRETED as Unconstitutional by a LIBERAL BUNCH OF JURISTS. As well, it is the FIRST TIME in our History that the words of a CANDIDATE were used as a basis for a RULING! This was nothing more than a HIT JOB by a bunch of radical socialist extremist baby killing God hating liberal Jurists.

Muslims Extremist are also killing thousands of their own as well but you never hear that either.

Also, thousands of Muslims marched against ISIS but you never hear that either.

I find that as odd as not hearing about the Christians being persecuted either.

HMMMM...................

Islam is a radical religion. While not all Muslims are terrorists, the Islamic religion calls for violence, jihad and subduing those who do not believe as they do. Right now Christians are being murdered in some of these countries. I never seem to hear about that here on CC.I find that odd.

Well the problem is really that people do not understand Islam. Islam is both a political and religious belief rolled into one. So therefore those who live strictly according to their holy book persecute the more liberal or secular people. Ergo Muslims are persecuting their own not because they are extremists but because they are following the letter of the law of the Koran. And if you do not follow the Koran verbatim you are an infidel just like any other unbeliever. So when the day comes,if the Lord tarries that long, and Islam takes over the unbelievers will be killed or made slaves, whether you're a Muslim or not doesn't matter. You are still considered an infidel.

I do not hold the "its all their fault" mentailty however a couple people here hold that mentality which is why I am thwarting it.

For example,

WILLIE-T all he does it talk about liberals and Democrats but ignores/deflects anything regarding Republicans/Conservatives.
There are extremist on both sides.

If someone can't name one good thing a previous president did from a opposing party they are a hypocrite.

That is why I said what I said at the end of my previous post when i said BTW because it is alarming on how he speaks about others regardless of political affliction because their is no political party in heaven and to be a Christian doesn't mean you have to solely republican or democratic.

What's the plan? Stick with that low-level criticism or come up with good criticism? "It's all their fault" merely keeps both sides inactive. And, if this is as far as you go, that too is hypocrisy.

I don't know you (other than remembering your grandmother marched with MLK once -- which btw, impresses me), but I don't want you forever stuck thinking repeating the simple chants on the liberal side is enough. (And, granted, the right is less chanty, but has too much of that mindset too.) Not enough to simply get huffy. You've got to think things out too.

I've said about all I can in this thread except for this one comment made.

We do know and hear about both Christians being tortured and killed by terrorists and about Muslims being killed by Terrorists.

Must be which news one listens to, but I hear a lot from Christian news. And Periscope of course. :)

I am truly saddened that I have to explain this to a 61 year old woman.

There is no contradiction Ma'am!

" So, even you admit, those judges weren't worried about the Constitution at all, like they were supposed to be. It was just what they thought from stuff Trump said when campaigning. "

The original travel ban was ruled unconditional due to its ambiguous language and religious implications. Your simply reading a quote not a whole statement from the ruling. My point I was making originally was that is was unconstitional. How they found that out can be read further into the article.

It is not illegal to be Muslims in this Country.

The Constitution grants Freedom of Religion.

Based off the the original travel ban it written in a way that the reasoning behind the ban was religious not national security.

How things are written matter! Which is why the courts blocked it and the Trump Administration had to re-write a new one.

The original ban affected anybody that was in those countries even if they were American Citizens on a trip, visiting loved ones, working, etc.

The ban affected Muslims and Christians from those countries and many more.

I am not sure how you are not aware that the Trump Administration did in fact re-write the travel ban and the courts approved it the second time around yet revisions are still being made.

Also, about the List comments was due to Willie-T saying that Obama gave Trump the list of countries to ban.

I was saying it is no mistake about that any time a new president is in office all the confidential file and documents are handed over to the new administration. What I said was it is up to the Trump Administration to figure out what to do about the list of countries hence the travel ban.

(Who knows maybe some of the countries from Obama's list aren't on it or maybe they added some...we will never know because it is confidential)

You just disproved yourself. So, even you admit, those judges weren't worried about the Constitution at all, like they were supposed to be. It was just what they thought from stuff Trump said when campaigning.

I really do agree with you that Trump made a mess out of the travel ban, but did the courts fix the mess? Did they rule from law or from personal values? And should a judge, any judge, rule from personal values? (Warning. Loaded question, because I can cite bozo rulings from the court that affect you personally in a negative way.)

As for Obama giving Trump a list? As it stands now, this country is fairly consistent. We swap parties for the President every single time. Usually we give the same President two terms, (occasionally only one term), and then guaranteed the other party gets the next 4-8 years.

I'm guessing from your rhetoric that you're a Democrat. (Not a put down. I agree with this saying, "If you are not a liberal at 25, you have no heart. If you are not a Conservative at 35 you have no brain
," so you're proving you have heart.) So let us assume the next President will be a liberal. (And I think Trump will be a two-termer.) Do you really think the next President should go by Trump's list too, or is this just rhetoric?

Reading a few of your posts I can tell already that you fit right in with this group. You're so much like them, after all.
You should head over to the BDF, where they usually hang out.

If you know about Islam so much you would know that their are different sects within it. Two major ones however even within those some sects some are more liberal or more conservative than others.

Just like Christianity has many different denominations.
