Why do my .gif pictures get changed to .jpg during upload to CC? It's so dang annoying, I want my gifs to move once they're uploaded on here. What's the deal with them changing to a different file type during the upload? And how do I change it?

Are u trying to upload them from your computer? If so, then I don't know how to make them work...

But if you are getting them from the internet, all I do is right-click on the gif, select 'copy', then right click on where I want to post it in CC and select 'paste'. That's all I do.

It's because most of your gif images are too large in file size.

Try uploading one by URL with the box "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" left checked.

You'll then see that error.

However, when doing this from a file on your computer, it won't provide an error complaint, even though I guess it should, but CC will rather change that to a jpg image instead of not uploading it at all.

Best way is to always use the URL of the image and uncheck the box "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" each and every time.

As for the images you already have on your computer:

Right click the file, left click rename, CTRL-C to copy the file name.

In Google, CTRL-V to search the Web URL on where you originally found it and use that address.

Other than this, you'll have to use an image sharing site and upload them there first.

CC is very limited on the file size it's willing to store on this site.

Sorry if you were hoping for an easier answer. :(

Blue, what I found when posting my animated from Pinterest: They won't move if I copy from my storage there. When I right click the image and choose "open link in a new window" it always moves and stays a gif.

Also, the above was opened to a new window first while the bottom was a straight copy. You get a bigger picture and it clears up the lettering.
