No., what is insulting and wrong is not preaching the truth for fear of hurting those who don't believe in what the Bible says regardless of whether it's healing or any other truth we believe and are discussing. The truth is true whether one gets healed or not. We speak the truth regardless of what we experience. But we don't insult or degrade or belittle. I have done none of that.

I believe differently about healing than you and some here do. We each have to come to our own conclusions based on our own study of the Bible and being thoroughly convinced I believe. You are free to believe in healing or not.
Ok, I'll use an example. If I believe healing is a promise, and I'm not healed, what do I conclude next? Nothing good. I would have to conclude that my faith is too weak, or that I'm in trouble with God, or God doesn't love me or the worst outcome, I stop believing. If healing is a promise to those with salvation, what do we say of those that are not healed? Why weren't they?

It's already been shown with Scripture that not all are healed and we know that everyone dies or is raputered.

I know your not insulting anyone, I should've been more mindful of my words, for that I apologize.

Now it's not that I don't believe in healing, I just don't believe it's a promise from God to heal us.

I totally get it Innerfire89 and am aware it's a touchy subject because not everyone is healed for many reasons. Not everyone is taken care of for many reasons. I don't know them all. But I'm not supposed to look at people when it comes to my faith walk and measure Jesus according to me or people or our experiences.

I'm supposed to look at Jesus when it comes to faith and walking in His righteousness and not my own righteousness. My responsibility is to believe regardless of what is at my right side or my left side. Not what I think or what others think.

Regardless of what the world., the flesh and the devil say and do. I also have asked the same question you said here IF89 but not only about healing. I believe in healing the same as other promises in the Bible that Jesus died to give us. Dare I believe? I came to this late in my life well into my 50s.

Dare I believe that IN Christ I am loved completely and have been made whole in His sight? Dare I believe He will take care of me like it says in Psalm 91 for instance? What? a thousand my fall at my side and 10,000 at my right hand but it will not come nigh unto me??? Dare I believe that?? What if it doesn't happen that way for me? I don't even go there brother. I'm not supposed to even go there. None of us are.

We are to believe and trust Him by grace through faith to do as He said He would do just like we did when we believed Jesus saves. We walk by faith one day at a time. He gives us one day at a time to do this. He gives us enough grace for each day. He instructs us to not live in the area of "what if" and not to worry about tomorrow for that has problems of it's own.

That is my journey and I dared to believe Him and trust Him to take care of me and He did it and He continues to do it. That is a choice we each as believers have to make ourselves. My journey to believe will be different than yours or others here. My issue was security as a divorced woman with no income or any earthly hope for it. Today I have a house in the country and a job because Jesus the Good Shepherd took care of me when I dared to trust Him with my life.

Stepping out in faith daring to believe is what we are called to do. Trusting He will do what He says is about faith in His love and grace paid for completely by Jesus. His righteousness was imputed to us and we are loved unconditionally because of Jesus. When I walk that out one day at a time., I have not been disappointed. No one is disappointed who trusts Him to do as He says He will do. "Those who trust Him wholly will find Him wholly true."

Read Psalm 23 because it is not for the dead but the living. I love this Psalm in the Amplified Bible. I like the footnotes too that speak of the Holy Spirit here on Bible gateway. I discovered the Holy Spirit has a lot to do with this faith that springs up in us John 7:38 he who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.

[SUP]1 [/SUP]The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.
[SUP]
2 [/SUP]He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.
[SUP]
3 [/SUP]He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.
[SUP]
4 [/SUP]Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.
[SUP]
5 [/SUP]You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with [SUP][a][/SUP]oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.
[SUP]
6 [/SUP]Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.
[h=4]Footnotes:[/h]
  1. Psalm 23:5 It is difficult for those living in a temperate climate to appreciate, but it was customary in hot climates to anoint the body with oil to protect it from excessive perspiration. When mixed with perfume, the oil imparted a delightfully refreshing and invigorating sensation. Athletes anointed their bodies as a matter of course before running a race. As the body, therefore, anointed with oil was refreshed, invigorated, and better fitted for action, so the Lord would anoint His “sheep” with the Holy Spirit, Whom oil symbolizes, to fit them to engage more freely in His service and run in the way He directs—in heavenly fellowship with Him.

Jesus NEVER tells us or assures us when our healing will occur...!!!

for us, it reads and sounds like it will be an automatic thing, 'after our Judgment'...
Praise God, for He definitely tells us that ALL who Love Him, will suffer persecusion'...
not to mention, 'willingly'...:)

Repost:

It dawned on me that in many of my petitions to the Lord, I believed that He had the power to complete them. However, the true question was, did I feel confident that He was attending to my need?

I began to realize that faith must believe that God is attending to the need, even as we ask Him to provide for it.

Faith isn't believing that God can do it. Faith is knowing that God will do it.

The Bible says in 1 John 5:14-15, "And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him."

If we find evidence in Scripture that it is God's will and desire to do the things for which we are petitioning Him, then we can be confident that when we ask Him to perform what He has said He will do, He will do it! So, my faith goes beyond the truth that God can and moves forward to the idea that God will. Even as I ask, He has already started to meet my request.

So, as I pray relative to any situation, I bring it before the Lord in this way: "Lord, I know that what I'm asking is Your will, for I have seen that in Your Word. I'm asking for a healing in my body, and the Word says that by Your stripes, I am healed. I'm asking for Your financial provision, and the Word says that You'll supply my every need. I'm asking for Your leading, direction, and Your guidance, and the Word says that the Holy Spirit will lead me into all truth.

Lord, not only am I assured by the unalterable, immutable truth of You Word, but I also have history that I recall to my mind. I remember in the past when I was ill, and the doctors couldn't figure out what the problem was. I remember that You bought me through that, and I'm not sick today because You healed me. I remember times of financial stress, times when I didn't know how I would pay the bills, but each and every time that I faced a financial impossibility, You somehow supplied the need through sources I couldn't even imagine. I also remember when I was at a loss regarding how to proceed for many of life's circumstances and situations - when I didn't know what to do. You were ever faithful. You guided me by Your Spirit and led me in the right way and onto the path of victory."

So, now I know that God isn't just able to heal my body, meet my financial needs, or to give me the direction I need. I'm confident that God isn't just able; I know that God will!

Mark 11:23-24 - For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Psalm 103 New King James Version (NKJV)

Praise for the Lord’s Mercies

A Psalm of David.

103 Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His Holy name!
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.

Many believe that God doesn't promise to heal everyone because of Timothy and Paul and other examples written in the bible, and let's not forget all the present day testimonies of how God failed to heal so and so after they prayed for healing, and afterwards died, but what does the bible say?

Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I know this is just one scripture, and of course there are more, but does the testimony of man trump the word of God?
Last I read, the word of God said, "let ever man be a liar, but God be true".
I also hear many say they believe the bible, only to explain away what is clearly written. And they do so because LIFE'S EXPERIENCES DICTATE differently.
So whose report will you believe, God's or man's?
And if you say God's report, then why are you fixated on the examples of those who failed to receive rather than on the promises of God like you do for salvation?
Do you have any examples in the bible of someone who failed to receive salvation after trying?
So if you don't do that with salvation, then why do you do that when it comes to the subject of healing?
Can anyone show me a PROMISE in the bible, like the ones for salvation, not an example, but a promise that is contrary to the one written above, that says healing is not for every child of God?
If you believe that, then surely you should be able to come up with a promise in scripture saying something along the lines of what many of you teach.
If your faith is based on the word of God, the bible, then someone please show me a promise written where God says, 'not all who ask shall receive their healing' or something along those lines.
I ask because, I haven't found any.
Stephen wound from Being stoned, God not heal him. And I believe Stephen Happier Being in heaven with the Lord than phycical healing.

Actually, we should forget such testimonies, because if presented as you say, they are slanderous, misinformed, faithless, ignorant, and borderline blasphemous. God doesn't "fail to heal". He may not heal, but that is not a failure on His part! He guarantees us new bodies of incorruptible flesh. He doesn't guarantee to preserve or even fix the ones we presently inhabit.

I suspect that you didn't intend to misrepresent God, but I would encourage you to reframe it in a way that glorifies Him, rather than inadvertently casting blame. :)
You misunderstood what I was saying but that's okay.
I don't take into consideration the testimonies of other unless it lines up with the word or promises of God.
God ALWAYS HEALS when we know that He hears our prayers.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved G4982 through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

From a primary word σῶς sōs̄ (contraction for the obsolete σάος saos, “safe”); to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): - heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.

One of the promises you use for salvation is one of the same that proves God both preserves and fixes a person's physical body.
The word translated, saved, is not in its proper context in English. Paul wasn't saying, "... by grace are ye saved...", but, "by grace are ye saved, delivered, protected, made whole, healed, preserved, and saved." It is meant as an all rounder. It encompasses the whole person. Which means God included physical healing.

I think healing is promised to the believers. James 4:14-15 ([FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.[/FONT][FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.) The fly in the ointment, so to speak, is faith or lack of faith. Acts 14:9 ([/FONT][FONT=&quot]He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed) Without faith even Jesus couldn't heal. Mark 6:5-6 (5 [/FONT][FONT=&quot]He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.[/FONT][FONT=&quot][/FONT][FONT=&quot]6 He was amazed at their lack of faith.) All verses from NIV[/FONT]

I forgot to mention that miracles have ceased upon the completion of the Bible and the end of the apostles. I’m not trying to be a downer or take away hope from anyone. When I am sick or in pain I want healing too, and trust me, I know every second counts, every second is like an eternity when you’re in pain. I’m just trying to promote truth- whether that truth is viewed positively or negatively. Miracles have ceased, but faith, hope, and love remain. Through faith the power of prayer remains, and is still effective if it is according to God’s Will. But miracles such as walking on water, raising the dead, or instantly healing the deaf, blind, or infirm have ceased.
Would you care to back up those statement in red with scripture?
As long as there is God like faith in the world, contrary to what you said, miracles will continue.

why all apostle die now?
Because carnally minded men killed most of them.
They certainly didn't die of any sickness or disease.
That would be a slap in the face of Jesus concerning His work on the cross.

Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

It's easy to say we believe He heals until we get sick. Especially when it's serious. But, then we must remember He is faithful, even when we are faithless. And don't quit.

I'm not sure how easy it is. But I believe in a positive confession in these matters. I've had to relearn and keep relearning how to think well and speak well. The natural tendency is to be negative about life and expecting evil instead of good because life on earth has shown us that the evil will come.

How many times I have repeated that "Murphy's Law" will always be a part of my life and then went over and prayed for God to help me. What kind of faith prayer is that? But the Lord knows we are conditioned to think this way here and the Holy Spirit is ready to help us to change our way of thinking and speaking.

What we think and say matters. How often do we speak curses into our lives and the lives of others without even realizing it or meaning to? "I'm always going to be stupid" "That kid is never going to change" "I'm dying to eat that cookie" "That cake is to die for"

Sorry to say this is an epidemic in our society yet only a portion of Christians have recognized it and are preaching against a negative profession of faith. The others make fun of the reality of it and accuse us of new age religion. How silly but how really true it is that believers get angry at other believers for telling the truth about the power of the tongue.

The Bible has a lot to say about our tongues and our words. That what we say has the power to bless or curse. Yet Christians will dig heels into the ground and fight against other Christians for recognizing the reality of it in our lives.

Stopping and re thinking is a total need for us all. It's "repenting" in the truest sense of the word. We must be willing to change our thinking and instead agree with God's way of thinking. Dump our feelings and teachings and re learn how to think God's way.

Jesus work oN the cross is not focus oN earthly thing, earthly things, wealth and phycical health is temporary. Jesus want us to free from eternal sickness in hell and be eternal health and welthy in heaven, and Stephen lost his temporary health but gain eternal healt in heaven

A long time ago I went to visit the sister of a University colleague in Boulder, Colorado. It was soon after I have been convinced by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. I was a bit wary of going to where she was because she lived with druggies who were also dealers.

Upon arrival I asked if Lynn was home. They replied no, she blew up. I asked what they meant by that. The oven blew up in her face and she is in the er.

Later I returned an there she was at home, her face a mass of blisters and some rather deep burns with some kind of medication also over her skin. I did not make a big deal of anything, but in my head I said, "Jesus, she looks awful, will you do something. " The following day I saw her, and her face was smooth as could be, and the only coloring waas that of a young woman with a healthy complexion.

I said Lynn, you look great. Beaming, she asked me, "Did you pray for me?" I could not lie, my petition to Jesus, though brief and silent had been heard.

No this dos not occur all of the time, but in those days also I was passing much time in the mountains reading the Word, praising God and sharing the Word with whoever would hear. I had a tendency to burn myself on hot camp cookware, even to the extent of hearing my skin sizzle, and each time I would say, "Thank you Jesus," and each time it healed,.

Now my vision is leaving me bit by bit. When I lost the vision in one ey overnight practically, I thanked God and offered teh vision in my other eye, confessing I would rather keep it. The visionin the other eye started failing rapidly, and I thanked God but it returned in the one eye. This is a true healing because macular degeneration is not reversible.

I have always counted myself blessed above other to share with the Patriarchs this type of condition in my older age.

The point is, God will do anything for us if it is in His will but alway remember sometimes we want a yes,but His reponse is no because His will is perfect and though we may not understand immediately, with our faith that He is always good, and He is, eventually Hi understanding is revealed.

He is wondrful and good and prfect. Surely Jesus Christ is returning soon, amen

There is no "Do you believe God or man" dilema.

Physical healing is a gift. If you are healed, praise God.

If you are not, do not turn your back on Him.

If you are not, do not blame yourself to be some kind of a failure. Remember Job.
That is conjecture.
Jesus told the woman " the childrens bread is for children at the table."
He called her a dog.

Most modern believers would have left dejected.
She PRESSED IN.
"Then give me what falls on the floor if i am a dog!!!"
IOW."GIVE ME MY PORTION"

healing is given,BUT MUST BE TAKEN!!!!

Take it!!!IT BELONGS TO YOU!!!

Saints, are you a child of God?
Healing is yours. It IS the childrens bread.

I can testify, if you press in, healing WILL MANIFEST.

This site is so laden with offended sick saints.
"Dont dare tell me how i need faith to be healed"
"Dont dare tell me it is demonic"
"How dare you tell me i need more faith"

Lets see,you gonna take 2 major dynamics off the table and think you are destined to be sick???

You need to read the word, study healing.
Study HOW THEY GOT IT. How they laid hold of it.

The man at the pool around Jn 5 or so.
Take a look at it. NO OTHERS WERE HEALED.
They all had their eye on the pool.
Have you fasted secular tv ,radio, newspapers, friends, etc?
Have you put both eyes on Jesus?
The impotent man had one eye on the pool and one on Jesus.
Jesus said "Wilt thou be made whole"
Now, when both eyes were on him,he was healed

Saints, wilt thou be made whole???

Take it saints. It is yours. Lay hold of it.

Say " the bible is true"
So why no healing.
Because something is missing.

Jesus laid out a plan. He showed us all the dynamics.

Seek what belongs to you.

He'res the thing. If you are a mature believer it is HARDER to obtain healing than when you were a baby.
Why???
Because God aint putting up with lazy wrong partial and perverted truth. Or some lazy double minded walk full of secular tv and nonsense.
You want something?
How bad ?
If you are not willing to change, your situation WILL NOT CHANGE.
YOU CHANGE IT. YOU CONQUOR YOU LAY AHOLD OF IT. Pursue and overtake it,then posses it.
But KNOW,KNOW,KNOW, IT IS YOURS. IT BELONGS TO YOU!!!

Now, go take it.

In the brief time I've walked in healing., I've noticed my faith has everything to do with it. I was taught in my previous Christian walk to not believe in healing. And so I didn't and was not healed nor were those healed who I prayed for. But today is totally different. Each day we have to step out in faith and learn how to believe. Here is an excerpt from Bible commentary about James concerning healing and says it so much better than I;

Some people are not entirely sure that God still heals the sick. They’re in two minds about this healing business. They are not fully persuaded. When they pray people don’t get healed and their doubt becomes self-fulfilling. James writes about this:

Let him ask in faith, with no doubting for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (Jas 1:6-8)

What limits our faith? Unbelief, or to use James’ words, doubt and uncertainty. To the degree that you are uncertain about God’s will, to that degree you are handicapped by unbelief. The devil wants you uncertain, but God wants you to be sure about His good will (Rms 12:2). If you’re not sure, then James says, “Pray, ask God for wisdom – and ask confidently! – receive what God gives you, then act on it.”

The essence of James 2:24 is this: a believer isn’t one who merely believes God in his heart, he reveals God through his actions. The difference between you and your unsaved neighbor is not just a set of beliefs, it is the life of Christ in you and revealed through you. You not only think differently, you act differently and what you do flows from what you believe. If you don’t believe God heals the sick, you won’t pray for the sick and they won’t get healed. You are no different from your unbelieving neighbor in this regard. But if you do believe that Jesus provided for our healing 2000 years ago (1 Pet 2:24), then you will pray for the sick and you will heal them.

To the church James is saying, don’t just believe God, reveal Him! Speak to your mountain, heal the sick, drive out demons, raise the dead! If you are fully persuaded, that God can heal the sick, but you don’t pray for the sick – something is wrong. Your faith is not being expressed. It’s lifeless, powerless and incomplete. It’s like a fig tree that never bears fruit. If you are fully persuaded that God will do what He promised, then act on it and receive your miracle. Why wait? Abraham didn’t linger. He got up early the next morning and marched off fully persuaded that God would raise the dead.

We haven’t been called to do works for God, but to do the works of God. The work of God is to believe in Jesus (Jn 6:29). He who believes Jesus saves will be saved and will save others. He who believes Jesus heals will be healed and will heal others. If you are fully persuaded that Jesus is our wisdom from God – that He is our righteousness, our holiness, our redemption, and our victory – it will be evident in how you live.
Same problem. Always the same problem. You are sure YOUR faith moves mountains. That is what everything is about. YOUR faith has "everything to do with it."

Ineffectiveness makes for a bad witness.
