I haven't read the whole thread, but here's my opinion.

Hear me out.

Trump is an idiot and the Republican party should be ashamed of themselves.

Y'all claim to be Christian, to follow the Bible, to believe that what Jesus says is the absolute best way to live, and yet you support a man who is sexually deviant, constantly lies, treats people horribly, supports people who are similar if not worse, wastes money, is highly manipulative, and justifies it all by saying that's how the game is played. If that same man were just a regular guy in your church you'd stay far away from him. You may even follow scripture and have him kicked out after his non-compliance to discipline. Trump, by the way, is absolutely in non-compliance to discipline of any kind.

See, the problem with the big wigs of Republican party is they aren't Christian. History has always shown us that absolute power corrupts absolutely. The people at the top 9 times out of 10 not only don't believe what they're saying, but they also don't care about the people under them.

Again, Trump is an idiot. He's in this game for what he can get out of it. Like a huge permanent tax cut for him and the people who supported his campaign. Who also are Republicans... Hmm, it's as if all of this was premeditated. And don't start in on the big tax savings for you. The budget was once again balanced on the backs of the poor. I wonder what Jesus would think about that.

Speaking of Jesus, he seems to really like the poor, the downtrodden, the homeless, the war torn, and dare I say the immigrant... Indeed. He did like immigrants, since he was once. Like your family was at some point. Did they show up legally? Were they sponsered? My family is mixed. Some are native to this land, others showed up and stole the land from them. Family reunions are a awkward...

So are Trump's, or King Baby as I like to call him. Since two out of his three wives are now naturalised citizens and four out of the five children he has are anchor babies. Hey wait...

If you've made it this far, I'm impressed. I know I've upset most, if not all of you. I've just got one more thing to say.

Republicans tout Regan as if he was a god. I remember a little of him, but most of my knowledge is from my own study. Although he certainly was more polished than Trump, he wasn't better. The times weren't worse. Putin was still assigned to destroy us, the middle east was self destructing, Europe was playing the superiority as usual, south America was overwhelmed by drug cartels, Africa was in dire straights and no one cared, Asia was killing it's own people and figuring out how to take over the world. See? Nothing really changes.

Anyway!

Reagan was a cowboy and the Republican party needed a clean up on aisle 9. So they picked the epitome of American heros. Everyone loves a cowboy. Personally, I prefer a solider...

Anyway!

Carter wasn't a very effective president. Nothing really got done. And the Republican party felt people had gotten over Nixon.

Look up Rodger Stone. Good ole Rodger Stone. He's not who you think he is. If you go back and watch or read Reagan's speeches and rhetoric, they're almost identical. And read your world history, do your homework.

Yes, God puts people into power. But at what point do we say enough? At which point do we choose to acknowledge we used the Bible against people were supposed to serve and protect?

You can't have it both ways.

Before he even announced his candicacy I reeeaaaly wanted Ted Cruz. And 6 months before the election I told people I didn't think I could vote for Trump, for all the reasons we all know.

I did vote for him, and am genuinely shocked at how awesome his accomplishments have been. Accomplishments I am certain Cruz could never have made.

The jury is still out, but for now, he has surpassed Ronald Wilson Reagan as the best President of my life.

Surpassing 'the Gipper' will be tough....

So what would you say about Trump if during the campaign he promised?:

To give instant amnesty to 4 million illegal immigrants.

To keep Obamacare.

To keep the Iran agreement.

To not lock up Hillary (remember "Lock her up! Lock her up!").

To not balance the budget.

To make US taxpayers pay for the wall.

To not build a wall but a fence and part wall.
1. Art of the deal, watch and see.

2.He wanted to get rid of Obamacare,Rhinos didn't. And as you say, since he's not a king what was he to do?! Tie them up and force them to vote for repeal?!

3. He's not keeping the Iran agreement. False news.

4. Again,he can't "lock her up". Clintons are snakes, they know how to protect their own rears. He can't just throw her into prison.

5. Takes time.Never said he wasn't going to balance the budget, thats the next task.

6. US hasn't paid for the wall and I don't believe they will. He's got something up his sleeve.

7. I don't care if he hangs laundry lines. If it keeps illegals out I'm good and his supporters feel the same way. Just him getting into office has cut illegals from coming into the country.

Being Canadian,I liked Cruz.I don't know what he would have accomplished. But whats the point of "what if"? He's not president,Trump is. If he doesn't keep enough of his promises he won't get elected again, simple.

Did God appoint Hitler? Was it God's will to murder millions of people by gasing them and burn the bodies on ovens? Did God appoint Stalin? Was it God's will to murder millions of people in the gulags? Did God appoint Cecil Richards? Is it God's will to murder millions of unborn babies?
God allowed Hitler to come to power.Yes,He did. The same as He allowed the Pharaoh into power. He allows kingdoms to rise and fall. Appointed? No.Allowed,yes.

You can't have it both ways.

It would be hard for me to put in words just how much I utterly disagree with this post. For now, I'll just touch on one aspect.

The tax cut comment.
Trump is President of the United States of America. He is wealthy beyond measure. There is no more up for him. I genuinely believe he has AMERICANS best interest at heart. The idea that he passed the cuts, for any other reason than it is GREAT for America, is absurd.

My family will have more than $4000 more for our kids college, needed home repairs, and most importantly to help the poor and needy even more than we do now.

My 401k retirement is VERY healthy SPECIFICALLY because of Donald Trump. And NOT just mine!

Company after company have given healthy raises and bonuses to their workers. Not to mention the incredible investment that is pouring in from companies that had to invest in other countries because of the ridiculous corporate tax rate.
THIS BRINGS GOOD JOBS TO USA!!!!

So I'm sorry Aimee. I know he has character flaws, and they are big. But I am VASTLY more interested in what he does for America than any human flaw.

You are reading false information about Ronald Reagan. He was one of the best US Presidents. A real Constitutional conservative. You need to listen to this. His presidency reflected these ideals. Trump is no Reagan.

Out of curiosity, just who WOULD you support as a "fix-it" president? Seriously, what person do you see that would satisfy you as a "good president" ?
I'm still writing in Ross Perot ;)

Actually this last election I liked Chris Kenniston of the veterans party. He spoke a lot like Trump, but without all the personal aggrandizement and blustery bs.

But until people stop wasting their votes on more of the same old thing, people like him will never have a chance.

But a man who brags about all of his adulerous affairs and affairs with other men's wives is a man of good Christian character to you?

Im not God,I don't know the man's heart. To me,Trump is a nominal Christian, but that would be me judging him. I do believe Pence is witnessing to him,who knows what God will do? As a Christian you ought to be praying for him. Now,he's president, not a preacher. We had two choices, him or Hillary. Hillary believed in abortion on demand,if that was the only reason not to vote for her that would be good enough. Also, she had no character and we definitely know her husband has no character, which she stood behind and defended.

Sounds like somebody needs a hug.

Treasure laid up in heaven is not affected by the sin of this world.

God is good. God is always good. Give God thanks and stop griping.

A root of bitterness spoils the testimony.

Pr 21:1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Trumps heart is in Gods hands.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
I'll take a hug whether I need it or not :)

You can lay your treasure in heaven, or lay it here on this world. But every treasure you store here is one you won't have in heaven.

And please don't conflate a difference of opinion with bitterness.

No offense, but you kind of need to stop with this rhetoric. We get that you don't like Trump, but the man IS your President, and you LIVE in the U.S. just the same as I do, and I show respect and reverence, and God's word tells me to PRAY for the leaders of my nation.....so instead of throwing out all of this speculative garbage, how about humbling yourself a little bit and being thankful to our Lord for his blessings on our nation.
Yeah, like we all did with Obummer

I'm curious ... will the antichrist be appointed by God to rule over us?

I look at it this way, you had two candidates, and those who say I didn't vote for Trump, I wrote in someone else, is pretty much like someone saying, Well I don't want Trump in office, so if Hilary gets it, I'm alright with a murdering, abortion supporting liar, thief and Liberal in the oval office....as long as it ain't Trump.....that's how I view it....so in a way....you kinda stand with the Liberals......BUT THANKFULLY (THANK YOU LORD!) Trump is our President.

As a famous Hollywood actor once said....."NO MORE WHINING, NO MORE COMPLAINING!!"

did anyone else notice that the op spelled disappointed wrong?
Thanks to the liberal agenda to dumb down america, and the conservatives buying into that for their own gain, spelling and grammar no longer count for anything. Neither do facts. Soundbites and catchy memes, that's what runs the country now.

I think people confuse 'appoint' with 'allow'
