Before he even announced his candicacy I reeeaaaly wanted Ted Cruz. And 6 months before the election I told people I didn't think I could vote for Trump, for all the reasons we all know.

I did vote for him, and am genuinely shocked at how awesome his accomplishments have been. Accomplishments I am certain Cruz could never have made.

The jury is still out, but for now, he has surpassed Ronald Wilson Reagan as the best President of my life.
Reagan fired the first shot in the class wars by codifying income inequality. he's why we have very little of the middle class left. Which is a shame, because a strong middle class was what MADE AMERICA GREAT.

My family will have more than $4000 more for our kids college, needed home repairs, and most importantly to help the poor and needy even more than we do now.

My 401k retirement is VERY healthy SPECIFICALLY because of Donald Trump. And NOT just mine!
See ... this is the problem PennEd. This money should go to people who don't work for it and to illegal immigrants.

I haven't read the whole thread, but here's my opinion.

Hear me out.

Trump is an idiot and the Republican party should be ashamed of themselves.

Y'all claim to be Christian, to follow the Bible, to believe that what Jesus says is the absolute best way to live, and yet you support a man who is sexually deviant, constantly lies, treats people horribly, supports people who are similar if not worse, wastes money, is highly manipulative, and justifies it all by saying that's how the game is played. If that same man were just a regular guy in your church you'd stay far away from him. You may even follow scripture and have him kicked out after his non-compliance to discipline. Trump, by the way, is absolutely in non-compliance to discipline of any kind.

See, the problem with the big wigs of Republican party is they aren't Christian. History has always shown us that absolute power corrupts absolutely. The people at the top 9 times out of 10 not only don't believe what they're saying, but they also don't care about the people under them.

Again, Trump is an idiot. He's in this game for what he can get out of it. Like a huge permanent tax cut for him and the people who supported his campaign. Who also are Republicans... Hmm, it's as if all of this was premeditated. And don't start in on the big tax savings for you. The budget was once again balanced on the backs of the poor. I wonder what Jesus would think about that.

Speaking of Jesus, he seems to really like the poor, the downtrodden, the homeless, the war torn, and dare I say the immigrant... Indeed. He did like immigrants, since he was once. Like your family was at some point. Did they show up legally? Were they sponsered? My family is mixed. Some are native to this land, others showed up and stole the land from them. Family reunions are a awkward...

So are Trump's, or King Baby as I like to call him. Since two out of his three wives are now naturalised citizens and four out of the five children he has are anchor babies. Hey wait...

If you've made it this far, I'm impressed. I know I've upset most, if not all of you. I've just got one more thing to say.

Republicans tout Regan as if he was a god. I remember a little of him, but most of my knowledge is from my own study. Although he certainly was more polished than Trump, he wasn't better. The times weren't worse. Putin was still assigned to destroy us, the middle east was self destructing, Europe was playing the superiority as usual, south America was overwhelmed by drug cartels, Africa was in dire straights and no one cared, Asia was killing it's own people and figuring out how to take over the world. See? Nothing really changes.

Anyway!

Reagan was a cowboy and the Republican party needed a clean up on aisle 9. So they picked the epitome of American heros. Everyone loves a cowboy. Personally, I prefer a solider...

Anyway!

Carter wasn't a very effective president. Nothing really got done. And the Republican party felt people had gotten over Nixon.

Look up Rodger Stone. Good ole Rodger Stone. He's not who you think he is. If you go back and watch or read Reagan's speeches and rhetoric, they're almost identical. And read your world history, do your homework.

Yes, God puts people into power. But at what point do we say enough? At which point do we choose to acknowledge we used the Bible against people were supposed to serve and protect?

You can't have it both ways.
It is said we now have one fourth of mecico's population.
What in your estimation is enough?

......psssstt,i saw your comment about alien fairness all snugggled in that post

We don't have a class or a caste system in the USA. That middle class idea comes from Marxism.

I'll take a hug whether I need it or not :)

You can lay your treasure in heaven, or lay it here on this world. But every treasure you store here is one you won't have in heaven.

And please don't conflate a difference of opinion with bitterness.
It's just the way you express your different opinion that concerns me. As scripture teaches we are to rejoice and again I say rejoice. The Lord is too good to be anything less than filled with joy.

I'm curious ... will the antichrist be appointed by God to rule over us?
Interesting as antichrist cannot ascend until it fits the time and purpose of Jehovah God. I do not see antichrist ruling over Christians but antichrist will have power during the tribulation. Just another reason that I support a pre-trib departure of the church. The church cannot be deceived by the antichrist. Apostate Israel will be ripe for the deception.

I do admit I am a bit sarcastic (because logic no longer works) and rough around the edges (from 35 years of working in the streets where being namby pamby could kill you).

Well I understand but I am also reminded that it is the goodness of God that leads men to repentance.

Don't lose confidence in the word of God to accomplish that to which God purposes it.

I need to remind myself that the sword of Gods word is best used to divide and not to bludgeon. The Holy Spirit is far more adept at wielding this great authority than me.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

You know as well as I that logic cannot begin to accomplish what Gods word is able to do. All we need to do is to trust it and not rely on our own devices.

Fortunately I have not lost confidence in God or His word. Yeah!

But I HAVE lost confidence in humanity's ability to understand and follow it!

Sounds like you're basing that off of observations of one man or political factors.....how you worship the Lord can be very different from how I worship the Lord. We know the Lord works in mysterious ways, and his ways are not our own.
If you're following Christ, can't ANYONE, no man or woman take that away or question that, and if they do, the bible teaches they too will have their day for persecuting you for following Christ

And here I am elated. Trump checks off just about every box for me. I did not say all of them..

He is a New York City business man.

He was raised in a place and time I am intimately familiar with.

I know his mentality well, and indeed I am very familiar with many of the phrases he uses, him being between my age and my dads; I heard the same stuff growing up.

He is pro American.

He is not PC at all.

He understand the importance of the economy and the military.

He does not lie.

He is not politically or financially beholden to anyone.

He is PRO LIFE !!

I think he may be the last hurrah before the dim reality of what the bible describes of where we know this world is heading rears its ugly head again. But I ill take the respite. Who knows. if we continue to support him and pray for him and do the same for more politicians like him we may be able to pout things off for a good long time.

Praise God.

The biggest problem with President Trump is he has no filter.
The biggest asset he has is he has no filter.
We need to Take the good with the bad and pray for him and our country.
That’s the way I see it .
Blessings

One of the behaviors that the Lord hated the children of Israel doing the most was complaining. Virtually EVERYONE in America, (yes I'm sure there are miniscule exceptions) is in the Global 5% of wealthiest citizens of the planet, and HUGE majority of Americans are in the Global 1% of wealthiest.

What is somebody's idea of "middle class"? Ask someone in Haiti and they will tell you EVERYONE on the OTHER side of Hispaniola, The Dominican Republic is middle class compared to themselves. Now I haven't been to Haiti, but I know those who have. I have been to The Dominican Republic and I can tell you that most of the Pop live in what we would consider true abject poverty. NOT "American" poverty.

I'm betting most here qualify for being in the 1% of wealthiest people in the World.
Ranking by Income

According to the Global Rich List, a website that brings awareness to worldwide income disparities, an income of $32,400 a year will allow you to make the 1% cut. $32,400 amounts to roughly:

  • 30,250 Euros
  • 2 million Indian rupees, or
  • 223,000 Chinese yuan
So if you’re an accountant, a registered nurse or even an elementary school teacher, congratulations. The average wage for any of these careers falls well within the top 1% worldwide.

The percentage of global wealth owned by the top 1% surpassed 50% as of 2016.

And what has allowed America to be as prosperous as it is? (yes. I know ultimately it is the Lord)

CAPITALISM!!!!! Governed by our Constitution. I know there is a huge indoctrination effort to put in place the exact failure that has plagued most of the rest of the modern World, that has led to such awful misery. SOCIALISM!! Under the guise of many noble sounding names like "income inequality" and "Social Justice".

DON'T fall for it people! Don't be jealous and covet what others have. Look to the incredible blessings the Lord has given YOU!
