I don't think there can be a one-fits-all answer to that. People are individuals.

I've been reading Acts. You should see some of the verses the disciples used to convict. I'm marveling on how they could pick such seemingly-unrelated verses, and yet it produced the expected outcome.

The word is self-sufficient. Just use it to witness to the lost and it does the work for you. Its a sharp sword that cuts ppl to doll rags.

The same words to reach people you do know, the gospel of Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. How Christ died for our sins, was buried and was raised again the third day.

Absolutely, as the Holy Spirit directs you! Sometimes what reaches people can seem quite bizarre to us. He knows what's going on inside human hearts. You probably are a more effective witness than you realise.

John the Baptist's ministry always appealed to me but I don't think I would be able to handle living on locusts. ;)

The Holy Spirit can and does use the Word as He sees fit to convict.
I was once in a service where the preacher's primary focus was on giving and supporting missionaries and as the service closed there were 2 people saved.

I thought it was joints and marrow, not into doll rags (rag dolls?).

Hebrews 4:12: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

IMO,the world depends on a their carnal senses. They won’t believe It unless they can sense It with one are more of their carnal senses, but nevertheless everyone knows there Is a GOD and have to CHOOSE to believe, recognizing the creation was created and did not just pop up,and that alone declares GOD.

Hebrews 11:4-6
King James Version(KJV)

6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Mark 2:1-12
King James Version(KJV)

1.)And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

2.)And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

3.)And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

4.)And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

5.)When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

6
.)But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

7.)Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

8.)And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

9.)Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

10.)But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

11.)I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

12.)And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

The English teacher in me is coming out. (Oh, and I was so bad at grammar, I never made it as an English teacher, so don't worry about grading for this test.) Use it in a sentence.

I honestly don't get how I'd use that word evangelizing.

Yup. I truly get that, but if someone is coming to church, there was prep work to get that person into those doors already.

Got any "prep work" scriptures?

There is more meaning to the locust than most have been told about.

Has anyone ever thought of the levels of the ark?
Or the instuctions our Lord handed down to moses.

Share with them the scriptures that led you to Christ. Tell them how God revealed to you that you were a sinner and on your way to hell. Tell them how Jesus can save them just like He saved you.
Be nice and smile. Trust the Holy Spirit to open the door and usher you into the conversation. The Holy Spirit will bring into the conversation the things they need to hear.

The gospel . . . the good news - God sent his only begotten Son into the world so that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ lived perfectly, always submitting to his Father's will becoming the perfect Lamb of God sacrificed for the sins of man, for remission of sins. He died upon the cross as that perfect sacrifice, fulfilling the law and God raised him on the third day -

Paul is our great example: But shewed first unto them of Damascus and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God and do works meet for repentance. . . . Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people and to the Gentiles . . .

The gospel of salvation . . . the good news of salvation by faith in and through Jesus Christ. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

I usually begin in John and show the promise for the giving
of the Holy Spirit - the Comforter who will dwell within a disciple.
Then moving through pertinent verses in Acts.
Mark 16:15-20
Then Romans 6 and 8
I Corinthians and the epistles
Ending with the commandment to continue praying in the Holy
Spirit in Jude 1:20

Also I usually share my testimony and the testimonies of others
who have been converted by the gospel.
