In the Bible why is Jesus more forgiving than God if they are one in the same?

if you think Jesus is not God, you are in deeper trouble than people can help..[Quot]

e...,

Suggest you look at the hole you seem to be in with your non biblical conclusion;

G-d was before Christ.
G-d created all...not Christ.
Christ came to the earth by virgin birth of fleshly human...G-d did not.
G-d always existed...Christ did not
Christ died on the cross for our sins...G-d did not.
Christ was resurrected...G-d was not.
G-d knows the date and hour of Christs' return/2nd advent...Christ does not.

Many more.

Christ is not G-d....G-d is not Christ...

Thanks for the personal guarantee, but if you read the story, the rich man doesn't even
question why he is there, and staying there in torment.

30‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone is sent to them from the dead, they will repent.’31Then Abraham said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

So according to this, everyone does get a second chance, but is still not persuaded. Seems fair.
No second chances. Its not a chance to begin with but a work of Christ's faith. He does not take chances or give. . No limbo lower now.People who die do not thirst. Their tongues have return to the lifeless spiritless dust it was taken from. You could say food for the worms.

Men die and then comes the judgment .They do not die and have a thirst for hearing the word of God .

The believer will no come into condemnation. Christ has already been judged and declared guilty for the eternal wage of our sin

In that parable if the five brothers do not get under the hearing of sola scriptura, all things written in the law and the prophets .Then neither will be they be persuaded when Christ as the Son of man rose from the dead.

The literalist must walk by sight and not the faith that comes from hearing all things written in the law and the prophets

Literal water will not replace the thirst that comes from hearing as all things written in the law and the prophets.

For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.(the gospel) And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one (Christ ) rose from the dead. Luk 16:28

I was actually referring to the old testament where in the NLT it says that, not that new testament verse.

If you would like to open this up in a new thread I would love to destroy it. Otherwise, A person asked an honest question. Do you have a response to help him understand?

He is not God in respect the to the Son of man the temporal as that seen But God is as the Christ (the anointing one) the eternal not seen . God as the Son of God remains God without beginning of day or end of Spirit life. as our High Priest without beginning or end...continually, supernaturally without beginning after the manner of Melchizedek.

To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.Heb 7:2

Son of God speaks of his unchanging abilities. His anointing Spirit, Christ, cannot die.

Son of man speaks of the temporal humanity, it did die .we no longer know God after the flesh he remains God and not a man as us .

1 Colossians NLT

Christ Is Supreme

15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.
He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,
16 for through him God created everything
in the heavenly realms and on earth.
He made the things we can see
and the things we can’t see—
such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.
Everything was created through him and for him.
17 He existed before anything else,
and he holds all creation together.
18 Christ is also the head of the church,
which is his body.
He is the beginning,
supreme over all who rise from the dead.

So he is first in everything.
19 For God in all his fullness
was pleased to live in Christ,
20 and through him God reconciled
everything to himself.
He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth
by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

I see you use the NLT bible which is so far wrong, translated by just about every religion so they'd all be happy with it, even a homosexual translated it.

I used it because you kept citing it. I thought you liked it.

KJV

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

NIV

[h=3]The Supremacy of the Son of God[/h]
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstbornfrom among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

That section is very confused because it hasn't been translated correctly.
If we were to believe it exactly as you say, then if in Him all things hold together, then how did they hold together when he didn't exist in Mary's womb??
Nothing would have held together because Jesus didn't exist at that time.
The universe would have ended.

It isn't confused. It's very clear. The King James Version is posted there [post #109]. You are looking for excuses to back your own wishes.
There is no translation problem, they all agree. Jesus IS God.

If you reject Jesus as God and you reject The Bible, you are not Christian.

Only one claims Jesus is God and that is the anti christ.
I don't reject the bible, I just reject man's false ideas about the trinity and Jesus being God.

This statement IS rejecting the Bible and Jesus. This is a fundamental, it isn't negotiable. It's the very foundation of the faith not a false "idea"

I'm finished now. Someone else will have to deal with this.

Fundamental
Really
But don't need to believe it to be saved.
Because salvation is only in Jesus name, not something from the Catholic church.

You really need to study man. Jesus himself said before abraham was born, He himself existed. How could he have existed before abraham was born if he was not alive until Marty gave birth.

Believing in Jesus name is more than believing he was a man who lived, it is believeing HIM. That would include who he is.

L...,

We see you have a lot of studying to do.
Nah, If she actually studied, she would be like most of us and know she was right.

People have come to Christ having never read the KJV.
