Nice that you think man is basically good and loving.

Too bad, God doesn't share your view.
Gen. 6:5 The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Thats not what I said. But its okay, you don't have to ask what I meant instead just infer it.

I was simply addressing the idea that we are unlovable. It is not true because God Himself loves us.

God loves us despite our sin. So while I understand you're saying that sin is an unlovable trait, we are made in God's image sharing in conscience. Even non-believers have their days of righteousness (though they be as filthy rags in comparison to God's glory). While humanity is in sin, in need of Christ, it doesn't mean they are unlovable or incapable of love. The fact that they are in sin makes them lovable, in a sense, because it then calls out for mercy. They may yet be guilty before God and yet too are they victims, in part, being blind to the light. There is a better way, The Way, Jesus Christ the Messiah.

You completely fail to see how offensive sin is to a perfect and perfectly holy God. Only when you do will you begin to see the great gulf that God did span in sending Jesus to the cross.

God separates our sin from us as far as the east is from the west. God hides our sin behind His back and never looks upon it again. These are extreme descriptions because of the extreme contradiction of Gods holiness and our sinfulness.

I guess good ole Ben has me on ignore because he never gets back to me

that's a shame, because he is also ignoring what the Bible says regarding his interpretation or understanding of the state we are in without Jesus

Jesus died to reconcile us to God. it's not even about whether or not we are lovable, because without Jesus...God will not accept you...even if you are lovable (in the human understanding kind of way...for that matter, our puppy is lovable but without proper training, he would obnoxious)

yeah...that's one of the main problems with the misunderstanding regarding God's grace...grace is not available without great sacrifice...Jesus...He gave up everything to save us and God restored Him

they like to leave out the part about God's holiness and make Him sound like the big Teddy Bear in the sky...just wants hugs and kisses

the OT is referred to as being 'under the law' as though no laws apply now...only grace...grace does not cover sins of the unrepentant nor does it cover Christians who continue in sin

as least Paul doesn't seem to think so...

And this is what I hate about WoF.

Always, always, always Man is the center of the conversation and God is just an instrument to get Man what Man wants!

Downgrade God. Upgrade Man.

Since I know I'm not ignored now, adding this so he can see it even if you are ignored. lol

that's ok

the error is emphasized again and again

it's a religion that elevates people and in the meantime, those who point out that scripture does not agree with it, are called 'religious'

not willing to discuss either it seems...while saying he is all about discussing
