Hello everyone,

New to Christian Chat. I am a 66 yr. old female who moved from the Phila., PA are to AZ after retiring. Although I love chatting with any and all Christians, was wondering is there are any Baby Boomers "out there". :)

Also looking to chat with anyone who can relate to Rightly Dividing and Pauline teaching.

In Him,
Carol

Yo, Adriane! (Sorry, couldn't come up with anything more Philly than a quote from Rocky. lol)

I'm a Philadelphia and 61, so am a boomer who lost my boomboomboom.

Lots of Baby boomers on this site. Lots of folks who love Paul. 'most everyone thinks they "rightly divide." Not the same thing as rightly dividing, but thought you'd like to know we're here.

Do some snooping, and hit the different forums. You'll get to know us.

BTW, I'm cold, so show off, that you aren't here anymore so not cold. lol

Well that was fast! Thank you for the quick response. :) My friends back east tell me they've had a tough winter, I "feel for ya". Speaking of Philly, I watched the Super Bowl parade online and thoroughly enjoyed it! I so miss hoagies and cheese steaks, Tastykakes and Wawa coffee!!! And going "down the shore". The best thing about living in AZ is the desert, for sure. Do you attend a church in your area? I and my family used to go to the Calvary Chapel of Phila. Once in awhile I attend a non-denom. church here in Payson (small town northeast of Phoenix) but it's been difficult to listen to the pastor preach from Peter or James or Hebrews and apply it to grace believers of today (if you know what I mean).

Have a good evening and stay warm.

I was born in 1955 so I guess that I qualify as a Baby Boomer. Actually, there are quite a few of us. Most bible discussions take place in the Bible Discussion Forum, but be forewarned, there are a few there that are very opinionated. Glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.

There are plenty of WaWa's in Florida where I live. Yeah, the coffee is very good. It's been a little cool the past couple days but I should have no problem staying warm.

You can get cheesesteaks delivered now, but rumor has it they lose something in the traveling. Get friends and family to ship you Tastykakes. Find out what the locals call a hoagie. (I spent three years of my life without a hoagie, because I didn't know it was called a sub in IL and never did figure out what they call it in VA. Not quite the same thing as far as the right mix of herbs goes, but at least it's a nice thick sandwich.) And you can live without WaWa coffee. Hubby has for a few years now, since the closest WaWa from us is 1.5 miles away. lol

I live in South Philly, so THAT Calvary Chapel, or is there another one? (I don't go, but it's a block away from our local diner, and on the way to FDR Park/The Lakes, so pass it often enough.) If we could go to church, we'd choose a church-planting church near Melrose Diner. (Since "Everyone you know, goes to Melrose," figure you at least have heard of it lol) The main church is Tenth Pres.

But we're both disabled, so for one reason or another, we can't go to church anymore. That's why I come on CC.
