If you all want to get Biblical here, I think the fundamental issue is laid in the warning Samuel gave when Israel cried for a king.

This is the cost of having a system too centralized or tied to one man.

If you want a righteous government, you'd best keep it limited in scope.

If you voted for Trump you just fully funded Planned Parenthood. Congratulations!

David was not an unrepentant serial adulterer like Trump.
Are you privy to hearing ones repentance to God? I'm just curious...because then I can retract that you may possibly know me more than I thought...just sayin'

Hillary supported abortion at any point in the pregnancy. Many Christians could not support her on this one fact alone.

Yes, I am since Trump said he has never asked God for forgiveness of anything.

Ted Cruz would not have. That's my point.
But he didn't have enough votes to go head to head with Hillary. Once it was Trump and Hillary...you better believe a lot of Christians jumped on the Trump train. If not, she would be the murderous thief and puppet running the show...If you don't think Hillary's had affairs too, that's just crazy!

There is something wrong when Christians think a serial adulterer is okay to represent them and their country. If a man cheats on his own wife he will cheat on his country. (The $1.3 trillion spending bill comes to mind; refusing to repeal Obamacare comes to mind)
We didn't elect him to be our Pastor.
We elected him to fix some things that
are broken, and he's actually trying.
Save the sermon for yourself.

You elected him to represent you, not be a pastor, and if you are a person of good Christian character you would have voted for a man of good Christian character. That's why Trump represents you and fully funding abortion with tax payer dollars.

You can believe whatever you wish but to say someone is not a Christian because they voted for Trump is your opinion, and its a false one. My family supports Trump, many of whom are in ministry. For you to make such a comment is obnoxious and ridiculous.

Cruz is scary. His father is a hard core Christian dominionist. No thanks. I would like to see him become a supreme court justice, though. Or Attorney General
But it's okay with you that Trump's father was arrested at a KKK riot with police?

I am saying exactly what John Jay the first Supreme Court Justice said:
“Providence has given our people the choice of their rulers,
and it is the duty, as well as privilege and interest,
of a Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.”

No, it was a choice between Trump or Cruz first.
So in your religious mind Christians were the only ones to have any influence on the matter and it was Christians alone that voted for Trump over Cruz?
And who's to say Cruz was the best choice? It takes more than having similar religious beliefs to run a country. No matter how Christian he comes across at the end of the day he's just another politician. And it seems to get anywhere in modern politics requires a lot of dirty behavior. So some delusion that this guy is squeaky clean because he puts on a better show simply reveals how naive you are. I'd rather an honest sinner than a deceptive saint.
God did not see Cruz fit to make him president either. So i suppose all the trash talk you're tossing around is aimed at God as well? Because wouldn't God have had a hand in who gets elected?
