It worked for me. Its a new therapy that is taking the world by storm, going viral, causing virsuses even!
PDT stands for Pain Distraction Therapy. And the good news it is absolutely free, You can do it yourself!
Tired of that aching knee joint? Well just hit your thumb with a hammer! See? You've completely forgotten about that aching knee! Have a tooth ache? Pump up the volume on YouTube and feel the pain in your eardrum? See! Completely forgotten about your toothache . The other night I couldn't sleep due to bruised ribs. But after hitting my head repeatedly against the wall, I was so dizzy I fell straight to sleep. And of course forgot about the rib pain.
its all in the mind I tell yo u. Distract your mind, distract your pain. (disclaimer...any advice I give you here is purely unprofessional.,.. see a qualified doctor if you can afford it)

I like that Pain Distraction Therapy angle and I will consider using it in my Pain Management Clinic thread. Besides the hammer maybe something about using a flat tip screwdriver or perhaps pliers.

I once went to a chinese acupuncturist for my back.she applied more than 10 suction cups (cupping) to my back. then added electroded needles to each cup and turned up the voltage! After that , she disappeared for 30 minutes.
I certainly forgot about my original back pain!
As anyone knows the bruising from cupping can last several days. I actually miss this therapy. It really relaxes the back.
