Today has been a frustrating day.

I am getting ready to move to Tennessee into a manufactured home that is being set up down there. Actually, I would have liked to have moved at the end of last December, but there have been little delays with the install causing things to be pushed back a week here, a week there. Already waited many months for the home itself to be built as it was not in stock. So I feel like I have been wasting time for 7 months.

Today while on an errand my car started smoking. I am grateful I suppose that this is happening right now instead of right in the middle of a moving trip. It appears that fluid from the radiator is spraying all over the engine compartment, but it's not clear whether it's a cracked radiator or a split/leaking hose or hose joint. Will take another look later when it cools off.

I would really appreciate your prayers that this can be fixed quickly and especially INEXPENSIVELY. I have not been working for the last two months, so I don't want to spend much with no income and moving/initial living expenses once I move. :/

All sounds very frustrating! Will you try that additive that can be put in the rad to seal leaks?

Some are designed to mix well with your coolant without causing any problem. K-Seal.

That's a good idea, I might do that regardless of how it turns out. It's in the shop right now, so we'll see, but it's a 20 year old car so taking the extra precaution to plug up the pinholes would not hurt! :D

I take good care of my vehicle... but I really want to eke another 1-2 years out of it before I finally let it go.

Here is the outcome. Turns out my radiator indeed needs replacing, and it's going to be quite expensive.

However, God has provided more than enough funds to take care of it. I did something different with my taxes last year and set things up so nothing was being withheld from my paychecks, so I thought I would get very little back in terms of a tax refund. Turns out I'm still getting a refund though... and it's about DOUBLE what the car repairs are expected to cost. :)

Very thankful to God and for your prayers concerning this.
