The Bible clearly states that at the end of 70 weeks that is determined upon Israel, they have to be in the truth, and right with God,and recognize Jesus as their Messiah.
But the Jews are not in the truth with God,as today,so the 70 weeks cannot be completed.
If the Jews were in the truth with God at the end of 70 weeks that satisfied God,then God would not have allowed the Roman Empire to overthrow Jerusalem and scatter Israel in to the nations, which God said He would do if they were not in the truth.
So how can the 70 weeks be completed, which they must be in the truth at the end of 70 weeks, when they were scattered from their land because they rejected Jesus, and the Bible says that Jesus came unto His own but they received them not.
A few Jews accepting Jesus does not complete the 70 weeks, but the nation of Israel accepting Jesus completes the 70 weeks.
25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous tim 26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate(Daniel 9:24-27).
Jesus did not complete the 70 week, for that is determined upon Israel to complete the 70 weeks.
In verse 26,it talks of the people of the prince to come overthrowing Jerusalem, then continues in verse 27 talking of the prince to come as confirming the covenant, which Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24,the abomination of desolation, that will happen in the end times not in the past, which verse 27 talks of the spreading of abominations that the prince to come causes.
The 70th week has not happened yet,and God will see to it that the Jews come to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah, which Jesus said the Jews will not see Him again until they say blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord, and those that come to the truth during that time will instruct others to come to the truth.
Dearmpaper345, We need a Study Bible we can trust. I no longer trust the footnotes or
notes in the New Scofield Reference Bible by C.I Scofield, (New York: Oxford University Press). Scofield's Bible was proved false when the pre-tribulation rapture did not happen in 1988 40 years (one generation) after the establishment of Israel in 1948, as Hal Lindsey, following C.I. Scofield, predicted in his book "The Late Great Planet Earth".

The following teaching is from God and is the true teaching, because it is from the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Eastern Orthodox Church is the One True Church that Jesus Christ founded. So, Scofieldism, coming from outside the Orthodox Church is, therefore, false. The idea that the Seventy Weeks awaits future fulfillment is also false.
See Note on Matthew 25:15 in the OSB (Orthodox Study Bible), page 1315:
24:15 "Daniel's prophecy of the abomination of desolation (Daniel 9:23) was fulfilled in AD 70, when the Roman general Titus entered the Most Holy Place and had a statue of himself erected in the temple before having the temple destroyed. The Lord's phrase "when you see" indicates that many of the disciples would still be alive at that time. The words "whoever reads, let him understand" are commonly understood to be inserted by Matthew into Christ's address as an encouragement to his early Christian flock, who may have witnessed this event".
Matthew 24:15-16 "Therefore wen you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains." NKJV New King James Version
This already happened, and the first century Church fleed to the mountains, and thus
was saved from the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans.
