i already posted a few times about this but i am getting worn out from deciding which church to belong to. i went to some but i didn't like what some of them were doing.
i wanted a more traditional church and i was talking to a catholic i know, and i like the catholics i know. but i saw some posts that said the Catholic faith is hearesy, which sounds bad. i heard about things in that church like praying to saints and thinsg and i don't believe in that, but don't they believe Jesus died for our sins like other churches?
i need to decide what church to go to because i feel alone and i really needa place to go to worship the Lord and be with other believers also.
can anyone give advice on this matter? which church do the people at this forum belong to?
thank you. sorry i posted already about it. on sundays i feel bad because i want to be in church but the last time i tried a church it was scary and i didnt liek what they said or what they were doing but maybe i didn't undersdtand.
its very confusing because all the churchs say something different.

You should find a Christian church whose sole earthly authority is the Bible. Here are some things to avoid.
Denominations.
Denominations are man-made divisions, by their very definition opposed to the standards set forth in the Bible (e.g. 1 Corinthians 1:10). Anglicans, Baptists, Calvary Chapels, Methodists, Pentecostals, Presbyterians, Wesleyans, and so on and so forth are all in open disobedience to the clear biblical teachings about divisions and unity in the church and should be avoided like the plague.
False Teaching.
Make sure the things your church teaches line up with the Bible. False teaching is one of the most widespread problems in churches today, and should be avoided at all costs.
Appeal To Tradition.
This problem is found in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Church, of course, but they aren't alone. Most Protestant churches also fall prey to this deception, holding to false man-made standards such as "confessions" and teachers like John Calvin or Martin Luther.
Lewdness.
One of the fastest-growing sources of deception in modern churches is the practice of turning the grace of God into lewdness (see Jude 3-4). These churches teach that a person can be a a homosexual, or a drunk, or sexually immoral, or a liar, or a thief, and so on and so forth, and still be a practicing Christian. Ecumenism is also a common problem among these churches, which teach that sound biblical doctrine isn't important, discarding the primary importance of God's word.
Silence.
Many churches are too "politically correct" to walk in the light and boldly proclaim the truth, and would rather allow false teachers and churches to continue to go about their business leading people down the road to perdition. If a church is unwilling to name those who slander the word of God and exhibit the identifying characteristics listed here, they should be avoided.
Covetousness.
Perhaps the most widespread corruption present in churches, both today and through the ages, is covetousness. These churches are in it for the money, and they're eager to get all of yours they can get their hands on. Stay far, far away.
Worldliness.
When the world speaks well of a church, you know they are bad news. A church who is friends with the world is the enemy of God.
