Genesis 3: 15 God is condemning Satan. God does not use symbolic talk when h is condemning anybody. In Genesis 3” 15 God talks about Satan’s seed, and the seed of Jesus. Satan is an angel. Angels do not have seed. Think about this…to have seed Satan would have had to be human, or animal. God told the angels to serve man. They refused. God will always force his will on those who refuse, and punish at the same time. God cast those angels who revolted down to earth in a form lower than man, and above the animals. Angels in this form had seed that could mix with human. God warned Adam not to take of that tree (The animal tree), but only of the human tree. Satan had sex with Eve to destroy the Human relationship with God, so the angels would not have to serve man…
We all have a family tree. We a have a racial tree. We are part of the human family tree.
Animals are of the animal tree.
Trees are used throughout the scriptures in only a symbolic way.
The tree in the Garden was only symbolic.
1. The mind is a fertile place and is where the seeds of our actions are first formed. H2233 (seed, zeh'-rah) is used figuratively.
2. The tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil are symbolic, as is the serpent that symbolizes our thoughts which are the seeds of our actions. In scripture our actions are our fruit, whether it be good or evil. Gen 3:18 speaks of thorns and thistles as the fruit of disobedience to God.
We are forbidden to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil but the tree of life which is God eternal should be at the center of our thoughts and mind. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above (James 1:17) while our evil satanic thoughts (seeds) are of the earth to which satan is brought down.
Lamentations 3:41 exhorts us to "lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven"
Psalm 24:9 "Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in."
Luke 21:28 "lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
Adam and Eve had the choice and I am sure that many of us here have chosen to lift up our hearts to the Lord.
May God bless.
