i heard something very concerning a while ago, a christian woman said she was proud to be a feminist. this spirit of feminism is very evil, it is the spirit of jezebel. let me make something very clear, there is a tremendous difference with being a strong christian woman, and being a feminist, i pray that this will show you the difference

feminism is synonymous with lesbianism and immodesty.
"its my body i can do what i want with it"
proverbs 7:10- attire of a harlot
timothy 2:9- modest apparel

the feminist movement is not about equal rights for women, its about a communist, anti-family, anti-christian, political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their babies, practice witchcraft, and abandon homemaking.

the feminist movement castrates men by demanding equal authority
feminists want equal rights, but claim unfairness if they are asked to pay child support or alimony!

God created men to be strong, masculine, and decisive, He created women to be feminine, sweet, and lovely
feminism aims to blur these differences

jezebel was the first feminist
her daughter was called even more wicked than jezebel because she set herself up as supreme leader over israel

the feminist movement is in rebellion to Gods word

the difference between a feminist woman and a feminine woman:

a feminine woman makes a man feel like a real man, because she requires his strength and courage
a feminist woman doesn't need anything from a man, because she already has the mind of a man

biblical reasons for all that i have said:

some state that women can be pastors, i don't agree, the only title a woman was given was a deaconess, and the job of a deaconess was to attend to the needs of the women, she did NOT attend to the men's needs

junia- "esteemed by the apostles" or "of note among the apostles"
junia was NOT an apostle! if someone says you are of note among your pastors, does that make you a pastor? of course not! i don't know where people got the idea that junia was an apostle, but there is absolutely no biblical basis to support that claim!

esther humbly submitted herself to the king

ruth submitted to boaz

no where in the bible do you see women preaching to crowds of men, the prophetesses in the bible, when they did speak to a man, it was done in private, not before huge crowds

pricilla worked with her husband in correcting apollos, not over him

Gods word plainly teaches us to submit to the men in our life, feminism teaches us to revolt against them. if we continue to allow feminism in the church we are spitting in Gods face and telling Him His word means nothing to us. we are to be proverbs 31 women, let that be your model not the changes of this world...

I'm not a big fan of feminism. The problem with feminism is that it's based on the ideas that women are victims in a patriarchal world. The problem I have with feminists is that they often twist stories so that the women seems like a victim.

I've had people link me this study two times where a feminist studies how people perceive men differently than women. She concluded that people see men as a single entity, and a woman as a "collection of parts". She then concluded that looking at someone as a "collection of parts" = "nothing more than an object", which obviously isn't true. I could go into more detail, but it's actually besides the point. It's just an example of how feminists try to victimize women.

the feminist movement is not about equal rights for women, its about a communist, anti-family, anti-christian, political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their babies, practice witchcraft, and abandon homemaking.
I'm always deeply offended when people throw the word "communism" around without using it in its proper context, because I'm very anti-communism and it makes it harder to fight real communism when people do this. Communism is a system in which there is no private ownership and all businesses are run equally by those who work for said businesses. This is NOT what feminism advocates. Feminists, however, do tend to be liberal. I don't exactly know why, but one reason is because liberalism often supports the right for a woman to abort her child.

Anti-Family? Not necessarily. Most feminists aren't really anti-family, they just believe women should play a more dominant role. There are feminists out there who believe single-mothers can do a better job raising a child without a man around, but they're really, really, in the minority and even I'm hesitant to refer to these twisted minds as feminists.

Feminists, and people who are pro-choice, don't support the murder of babies, they support the choice to kill a fetus. I believe that as soon as there is a heartbeat, the fetus is considered a living being and should not be killed unless the mother is in danger of losing her own life. But that's just me. The only problem I have with your statement is that people who are pro-choice don't support the murder of children who have already been born, just the unborn. Otherwise, I think you have a valid point.

Feminists do not practice witchcraft. There is no such thing as witchcraft. The closest thing we have to witchcraft are mediums who claim they can talk to the dead or predict the future when in reality they can't.

And lastly, homemaking. Feminists are okay with homemaking, but they believe women should have a choice as to whether or not they want to be homemakers or not. So... that's all I have to say.

the feminist movement castrates men by demanding equal authority
feminists want equal rights, but claim unfairness if they are asked to pay child support or alimony!

God created men to be strong, masculine, and decisive, He created women to be feminine, sweet, and lovely
feminism aims to blur these differences
This is the part in which I actually kind of agree with you. There are many feminists out there who want women to be treated special, while demanding equality at the same time.

There are also many feminists who are so focused on making sure men and women are equals, they ignore science that proves men are generally stronger than women. Many feminists believe men aren't necessarily stronger than women, they just work out more because of social pressure. This isn't true, men are usually stronger than women naturally. It's an observed fact.

-----------

I am all for equal rights between men and women. If a woman wants to act masculine, she should be allowed to do so. However, I will refute the false claims they make and fight them when they ask that women receive special privileges. I'm also okay with homosexuals. I understand homosexuality is frowned upon in the bible, but people can't be forced to live according to God, they must choose.

It depends on the type of feminism.

Typically, it just means 'equal rights', which isn't a bad thing. But lately it means 'hate men' and 'want to dominate men' and 'use tactics to trap men in a society that allows women the freedoms to do so'. It's a problem when women use their (generally) greater ability to be emotionally manipulative, to manipulate and demean men while expecting us to live up to unrealistically high standards, all while our society leaves us powerless to empower ourselves. The irony, eh?

It's like how the black movement, for many meek people, was about simply being allowed to be equal to the white man; to not be treated as a second class citizen, but it has often erupted into 'take control of the white man'. Eye for eye in some ways.

But at the end of the day, was I responsible for the oppression of women? Was I responsible for the oppresion of black citizens? I'm not even responsible today for the oppression of gay men. I believe everyone should be treated as an equal human being and be allowed to make their own choices.

But I also put value on making moral choices for myself. All I really desire is an accepting society that builds one another up. Today society is very much a one-up, dog-eat-dog type of society.

And one of the main reasons for this is the emasculation of men; we are powerless to be men, just as many women secretly feel powerless to be women.

It depends what type of feminism she adheres to or believes in. If it's simply that she is glad that she is an advocate of women's rights, then good for her, and so am I. But if she means she desires to control and manipulate men, or 'get-the-upper-hand', then that might be a problem. Though I'm not perfect either, I never profess to be.

God created the world and us, God has the truth about woman's place in the world. I think we can look at the world's view and judge it according to scripture without putting a label on an entire movement and throwing out every piece of it without thinking.

I remember when i was an insurance adjuster assigned to off shore work, a very involved job. I was still paid less than the men who did less skilled work, and i was not allowed to attend the meetings for adjusters, only based on that I am a woman. This movement helped correct that. My husband was ill and could not work, and being we were a team I took over providing for the family. That did not change the biblical position of our positions as leader and helper.

I have heard fundamentalist christians work to make women unequal to men and only subordinates. They could make a case for these people working against God's ways, just as you have done with the feminists.

When we learn God's way, we find that men and women are equal, and through marriage they become one. Men are to be given a leadership role, women a helping role, but each are equal. Labeling of fundamentalist, feminist doesn't enter in.

I do agree with you that some of the change this movement has made in our world is not Godly. It has made many men unable to function in a responsible way, just saying to women "you do it". A strong man, able to lead, is very hard to find.

Ty so much for sharing and standing up for the truth on this one. The main reason why this evil spirit persist its influence in many circles is tolerance. The people "suffer" Jezebel to have her poisonous influence. Instead of setting the foot down and refuse her the pulpit.

I was reading about Jezebel recently. Jezebel has many characteristics, so you can't limit her character to feminism.

Here is what I found on it.....

Jezebel’s character was wicked, controlling, sexually immoral, murderous, and demonic! It is astounding that the same strong spirit was still operating in Revelation 2:20 and still operates in today’s church. In every congregation we find those who want to control, manipulate, and subvert the men and women of God.

Recognizing the spirit
This spirit is basically the spirit of domination or an unwillingness to cohabit peacefully. This is not about women or liberation, for this spirit can attach itself to a man or a woman. Many may think that this spirit is identified with sexuality, believing that a woman who looks a certain way is a “Jezebel” in her character. But this is not so. A wolf can easily hide in sheep’s clothing.

When you find a spirit of Jezebel operating, you will also find an “Ahab” nearby, or someone in leadership who is allowing the spirit access and control.

The strategy of Jezebel
The tool this spirit uses is manipulation. In 1 Kings 21, we learn that King Ahab would pout when he did not get his own way. He had seen a vineyard that he greatly desired, but the owner would not give up his precious property, even to the king. As King Ahab lay on his bed sulking, Jezebel assured him she would get him what he wanted. This powerful woman had introduced pagan worship into her kingdom, and now she was not below killing to obtain the things she needed to gain more power.

The seat of Jezebel
Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
—Revelation 2:20
When the spirit of Jezebel begins to manifest in the church, it seeks a high seat in the church or a place of dominance. Usually it will manifest in someone who wants to teach or lead, usually leading them astray! To find that place of leadership, Jezebel must look and act in a spiritual manner.

The controlling spirit wiggles into the church, bent on destroying and undermining the very things that we hold dear as believers. Through manipulation, domination, and control, the spirit begins its battle against the body of Christ. First, this spirit hates the prophets, the true leaders of God. She cannot control them, and when she tries to win their approval and fails, she will stop at nothing to try and kill them.
In addition, the spirit of Jezebel hates the preaching of the Word. She can’t cope with its message. She will try to either reduce the messenger or the message.

The controlling spirit also hates the praise of the church. During times of true, powerful worship, her carnality is exposed. In 1 Kings when the prophet Elijah prayed fire down from heaven against the prophets of Baal and Jezebel’s schemes, praise broke out (1 Kings 18:39). Jezebel had lost, and the praises of God filled the air.

A Jezebel spirit also hates the preeminence of Christ. There is no way to compete against it. The first time “preeminence” is mentioned is in Colossians 1:18: “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence” (kjv). However, the second time we find the word, a Jezebel spirit is attempting to control a body of believers. “I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not” (3 John 1:9, kjv).

Banish the spirit
If you sense this spirit is at work in your church, it is important to see the enemy as spiritual, not fleshly. Don’t hate the person being controlled by the spirit of Jezebel, recognize that it is a spiritual power—one that God must fight. Let your prayer be, “O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You” (2 Chron. 20:12).

I agree that the feminist movement has done harm, but what about the good it has done? You have labeled it all evil. The idea that men may treat women any way they choose is an idea that both men and women have. and they blame God for giving them this idea. That, too, is evil. But Christians would not say that all training that women be submissive is evil.

I strongly believe that we CAN bring God's way into the church but not by accusing and labeling. There are people who are dedicating their lives to helping abused women in the church, and teaching women to live as God intended. But they are doing it God's way, by teaching not by shaking fists at anyone.

It would appear to me that it's not really a spirit but could be derived from scripture starting from the 1st book of kings, here,

1 Kings 16:31And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took for a wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal and worshiped him.

and has the characteristics mentioned here,

Revelation 2:20Notwithstanding, I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, who calleth herself a prophetess,to teach and to seduce My servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

where she is again mentioned, however it's not like she's a spirit, or demon, or anything...

"Spirit of Jezebel is not a female only issue, some men can also be affected by this. The last church i was a member of, had a woman who started a whispering campaign against some of the leaders with in the church. She also gave out umerous "prophecies, of which none ever came to pass. She would call people up and meet with them privately Then would convince them that "so and so" has some issue. She even made many accusations against the pastor, all of them groundless by destructive. She was eventually kicked out.

The new pastor was worse. He told the elders in a meeting that they have no authority over him and that he would do as he pleased. Several elders quit and resigned their membership and left the church. He fired the church counselor and shut down the men's ministry in spite of it's popularity. He also hired a man who acts gay to be his personal assistant, with out the approval of the elders. If you want to speak to the pastor, you must be approved by this man. He is manipulative and controlling He has driven many solid Christians away and canceled many things the old pastor started.

The church was the largest in the area and once thrived. Membership under the first pastor exceeded 2000. Unfortunately, now membership is declining and bills are pilling up. The once popular church is now just a shell of it's self.

But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. Revelation 2:20
The spirit of Jezebel is well known and common in deliverance ministries and many books, articles and videos of this demon has been made. Even though the there is a great deal of ignorance about deliverance with in the church and you may never of heard of this demon before. That doesn't mean it does not exist. The bible does not give us even a partial list of demonic names nor does the bible detail characteristics of demons. The bible does tells us of fallen angels but is silent on defining what demons are. In fact, it only references one demon by name, Legion, that I can think of. The above passage I posted, does identify a woman by the name of Jezebel. Was this her real name or was Jesus referring to the spirit of Jezebel? I believe it is referring to the spirit of Jezebel.

Keep in mind it is a logical fallacy to prove something does not exist because there is no evidence. Just because the bible does not mention something, that alone is not proof of it's nonexistence. For example, the bible does not mention catapult or battering ram, but we know they existed as the New Testament was written. Proof of the spirit of Jezebels existence can be found in the numerous eye witness accounts that come out of many deliverance ministries, around the globe.

Yes, it is speculation when one tries to prove nonexistence from a lack of proof. One can only prove "existence" from proof. Not the other way around.

I will answer these questions later when I get to a computer later on today, as for Joyce Meyer? She is involved in a truly evil ministry! Which I will go into in another thread soon! She is part of the word of faith movement which uses eastern philosophy and meditation on gaining materials, she has stated that we are all little gods, masters of our own universe, following her teaching is very dangerous, please be wary of her. And ministers like her, that ministry is leading people away from the true Gospel! They preach a different Jesus than the One found in the holy Bible!

I hope that there will be many more that will give their approval to this post and not reveal the 'spirit of Jezebel' in their lack thereof, pertaining to both male and female. Jezebel lacked humility and was never able to receive grace to repent though God has given and will give her ample space and time to do so. Very good job Kate, you have good conviction in your heart and a good sense for the things of God revealed to us by the Spirit in the word.

Sorry, I miss stated my last post. it should read:

Yes, it is speculation when one tries to prove nonexistence from a lack of evidence. One can only prove "existence" from evidence. Not the other way around.

I've seen many use this argument but it doesn't prove anything. For example, the word "Trinity" does not appear in the bible, even tough the vast majority of Christians consider it to be an essential doctrine.

Proof of the spirit of Jezebels existence can be found in the numerous eye witness accounts that come out of many deliverance ministries, around the globe.

your verse doesn't say she's a demon, but a woman, and a woman claiming to be a prophetess, and here in 2nd kings chapter 9 verse 22 says,

And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

When Jehu was set out to smite the house of Ahab, as he did later on in the chapter, Jezebel dies by a fatal fall resulting in blood splatter upon the wall and on the horses, after being pushed from her window by two or three eunuchs. Afterward the prophesy being fulfilled that her flesh be eaten by dogs.

So after looking back and reading about her, she's not a tormenting spirit until this day, though in kings i see one may have been confused by verses 21 - 23 in chapter 22 of 1st kings,

[SUP]21 [/SUP]And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord and said, ‘I will persuade him.’
[SUP]22 [/SUP]And the Lord said unto him, ‘Wherewith?’ And he said, ‘Iwill go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And He said, ‘Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also. Go forth, and do so.’
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

And so there you have it, this word is clear that her spirit doesn't haunt us! :)
