I find cornbread tasteless and dry and I typically hate it, but I really loved this one because it is so moist and it has a wonderful flavor and nice sweetness to it. I wasnt even making this for myself but for my husband to accompany another dish at the time. And ofcourse I tasted it (and then couldnt stop lol) I was like wow, this is good, I now like cornbread!

I forget where I got this one online but the picture here (which I keep with the recipe both on and off line) is NOT the one for the actual recipe it was just the closet which best resembled how it come out (even in moistness) for me with a drizzle of honey on it. I dont like to use box mixes but it was a time saver, you can make your own homemade mixes as well. Using those just made it easier.

Its very simple, just dump in the ingredients and bake

Jiffy Corn bread with creamed corn

Ingredients

2 boxes Jiffy corn muffin mix

3 Tbsp sugar

1 cup sour cream

3 eggs (beaten)

½ cup (or 1 stick) of melted butter

1 tsp. salt

14 oz. can creamed corn

Directions

Mix all ingredients together, then pour into greased 9x13 baking dish.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until light golden brown.

I serve this with just a little whipped butter and a drizzle of honey on top.

Its pretty good, thank God for this person's recipe whoever they are (I now love cornbread)

For tasty Tex-Mex Cornbread......replace the cream corn with one can of Rotel Mild, drained well of excess juice....... :)

I know right?!! -Just call me "Tegan". I feel like one of those Pavlov salivating Dogs that were trained by sight to react. I'm drooling all over my shoes right now...
Pavlov was a Russian physiologist best-known for his work in classical conditioning. Pavlov's dogs were named: Boy, Druzhok, Zolotisty, Sultan, Tygan, and Zhuchka.
