My mom and dad were paleo before paleo was even a thing. I was raised in a paleo household for my entire childhood. It was VERY rare that my parents let us have dairy, grains, or sugar. My siblings and I actually loved it! We all experimented with different homemade flours in the kitchen, and we came up with some awesome recipes. None of us ever had any acne, we were all very energetic, and we were just really healthy overall. My parents are both in their 50s, but no one would guess that they are any older than 37-38. Once I left home, I had one day where I went way off of paleo, and I ended up getting very sick and having an intense headache for the next two days. I never did that again! My girlfriend was raised in a similar way; her family was paleo before it was a thing.

Most people think that paleo is too hard, but once you actually put in the effort, you will feel the results. I find it easy, but I have been doing it for 22 years. I actually don't like sugar and think that wheat tastes like bleach! You just have to stick with it.

Our bodies are the temple of God; the Bible instructs us to take care of them. We were made to eat fruit, meat, veggies, and nuts.

I'm not paleo because some celebrity does it, or because it is the new "fad", but because I have seen how good it is. I encourage you to try it!

I read about a family that had eaten nothing but beef for years. The husband was 57 and looked 37 and the wife was 43 and looked 23.

I'm happy for you and your family, do what works for you. But the paleo diet is actually derived from an evolutionary understanding of humanity, so it's not an accurate diet for humanity as a whole. God totally intended for humans to eat grains and drink milk if they so wished. After all, Adam, the first man was a farmer. As were Noah and many other men of God. Therefore, while some post-Flood cultures were defined by the hunting and gathering lifestyle (and there are still some today), mankind as a whole was never defined by hunting and gathering.

While im not at all trying to change your opinion because it works for you, i just wanted to mention that anyone will get sick over anything that you just suddenly switch in your diet after 22 years.

Also, I have heard some people try to link paleo to evolutionary ideals, but you have to look at the big picture; it's a healthy way of eating, not a faith or religion. Adam may have been a farmer, but I'm going to guarantee that he wasn't using roundup or glyphosphates, which are two carcinogenic chemicals sprayed on our grains today. It's not a problem with grains in and of themselves, it's the quality of 90% of the grains in America.

I can understand no gluten. And I agree, 100% with no sugar or dairy. But, what is with no wheat?

Paleo means no grains, dairy, or sugar.

I would be fine trying diff flours...in fact I plan to do so

But no dairy? no whipping cream and no cheese? I would go cave woman!

I eat vegetables for 2 and sometimes 3 people at a sitting...I like meat but I wish I didn't...:(

I was raised on all kinds of bread....I look 10 years younger than I am...no really...and I'm healthy...so...

I don't think it's necessary to say our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit

you wanna go paleo? go paleo and the same with vegetarian or any other way of eating

but IMO, I don't think we need to say MY this or MY that is THE best way

you ARE wearing glasses...I still have great eyes and don't need them...although I will wear off the shelf glasses for fine detail work in editing or painting...

so...you know...let's not generalize everything

We can talk all the garbage we want, but most of us know what is the REAL cause of most of our physical problems.

Here is a calculator that will show you Step #1 to be taking. I doubt there are many of us who even come close to meeting this basic necessity.
