Pan-size fat perch right there!

Thats a blue-gill fish, perch are more slender. It got its name from the blue dot near his breathing gills.

I know what a blue gill looks like.Here in Ohio it is a sun fish. I used to catch over 30 bluegill a day as a kid out of a town pond. Definitely not a perch. I have caught perch before,pike,catfish, flathead catfish,bullhead,snakehead,sheephead,carp, small mouth bass,chubs and a few more.

Well, it'd still look good in a skillet

Great dredged in flour with black pepper and salt fried!
