The word God, from Germanic, is pagan. I would say God can turn something pagan (including words, ourselves, and traditions) into something Christ-like with his power.

That can only apply in English, because other languages use other words. The message in the post isn't about words, but about traditions and their roots. For example, - maybe, a word "apple" also comes from another language, but if I do something ritualistic with an apple and the ritual has roots in paganism, - it's a sin!!
