A lot of Christians think their "belief system" equals God and don't even realize it. Whether they want to admit it or not. This is effective idolatry, because God's person alone is Truth, everything else goes against the 2nd commandment, yet they still scramble like Pilates "what is truth". It's not what, not this or that, but Who. God is not this or that, He's the uncreated one. Teachings point us towards God, but are not God, would you say it louder for the people in the back! This is exactly why we see so much bickering. It's all about who holds which "belief" and not actual God. Sad, Christianity was supposed to be about the person of Christ living in the followers. It used to be called "the Way" in those times and discipleship as well, it's in the Bible, but it's not the Way anymore, it's who holds which belief and who is "correct" that is "doing Christianity right". What happened to the discipleship, the Way, and the person of God being the ultimate goal. When it's all ending at having "correct" beliefs and teachings, this drags Christianity down to be just like any religion. This has been my ongoing grievance for quite some time, and thank you for posting.
