He came to bring us spiritual healing and salvation, not to save our fleshly bodies... While He can bring any and all healing, sacrificing our flesh, dying to our selves, brings eternal spiritual life.
Kindness and mercy, humility and meekness show Him so beautifully. I pray we guard our hearts and minds in Him so we can remain tenderhearted, full of grace and hope, showing strength of character with warmth and hospitality to others.
I think it necessary to keep the skin tough so that we can protect our softened heart's condition. We can not control the actions of others. Our calling is to always walk justly, learning and growing, extending more love and more mercy, pointing always to Him, not to make sure others do.

We don't work for Salvation, that is His work; we are saved to do His work, but still it is His work within that empowers it. He gets every bit of the Glory. Hey, this is good news, assuring, and quite hopeful...we get to shine in His Glorious Radiance.
