I first started really liking Chris Pratt in his role of Andy on the show Parks and Recreation. It turns out, he is a Christian. He was voted Our Generation Award by MTV and gave out the gospel in his speech.

That took a lot of guts, to deliver that message to a MTV crowd. I am surprised it was so well received. I still have hope for the spiritual revival of faith. This is the spirit of Elijah that would come before the day of the Lord. It is not a person, it is a faith movement.

I heard that on the way to work this am and I was honestly blown away

not only did he confess Christ but he gave what I would consider very powerful words about his faith and God

I'm saying he didn't just mamby pamby say 'I thank my God and Savior Jesus Christ (you can say that too but it is overused IMO), but he gave words of life to people who need to hear them

amazing!

I think they responded so well because he is not hateful, you can tell he is saying what he says because he cares. I think he did a great job, and agree it was bold of him.

I liked how gracious he was, not mean spirited but telling them that God loves them. It was a good speech. At Easter, he and his brother or brothers erected a wooden cross on his property. I thought that was a nice statement of faith without being “in your face” and kind of rude.

If he'd uttered the words Jesus, or Christ, or Christian...
his career would be over by this time tomorrow.

Still will be if anyone is mad at him.

Strange world we live in.

He’s been open about being a Christian. In an interview with US magazine, he told the reporter he gave his heart to Jesus as a teenager after a man in Hawaii witnessed to him. In 2016, he erected a huge cross on Easter Sunday and instagrammed a humorous “how to erect a 20 foot cross”, like “dig a hole, get it level” https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/chris-pratt-erects-giant-cross-photos-w200618/

I wasn't questioning his character or his intentions.
I was just commenting on the state of the world.

He's in a place, and a position, where he has to be careful about what he says and how he says it.

I misunderstood. I thought you meant he didn’t go far enough with his speech. You are right, he is in a business where he has to be careful about what he says.
