I'm always repurposing things. I turned a butterfly-shaped magazine holder into a toilet paper holder. And 2 empty cotton candy jugs now hold straws and drink mix packets. I have a butter-fly shaped fly swatter (I don't use it for killing bugs) and I've got all my hair scrunchies on the long handle of it and it's hanging on the wall.. A rolling kitchen cart with 3 long baskets now holds all my shoes.. And a small yogurt container with a wild cat on it, is now my change jar for pennies and nickels...

Buy a framed picture with a nice frame from a thrift store, preferably something that no one would really want anymore and doesn't have any value (like a kitsch 80's picture of a 4th of July wreath for example...). Remove the glass and dispose of it somehow (or reuse). Then remove the picture and paint over it with two layers of chalkboard paint.

Place the "chalkboard" back in the frame and now you've got a fancy little chalkboard to hang on the wall. You can paint the frame, too, if you want.

I give the credit to my ingenious sister and her fascinating house.
