Prophetic Witchcraft (Charismatic voodoo) versus the True Prophetic Word
I’ve been pondering what I call prophetic witchcraft and the true prophetic word. I mean what’s the difference between a true prophet versus a false prophet or a psychic? The accuracy I tell you is NOT what makes a prophet true as false prophets can get the accuracy right on as well. In Ezekiel 14:3, the Word came to Ezekiel, “Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity.
Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?” These men set idols in their heart. An idol takes the place of the Father, fulfilling some deep longing in the heart. He says you shall not make idols for yourself (Lev 26:1). An idol is something that moves or memorizes you more than our creator. The story of Balaam and Balak is an excellent example of this (Num 22-24; 31:16; Rev 2:14; Jude 11; 2 Pet 2:15). Yah (the Father’s name) calls covetousness idolatry.
The desire for recognition and honor can be an idol. We can say we’re destined for greatness and it’s true, but it can become an idol when the motive is through the eyes of men. The leader of father in the faith can also become an idol if you’re looking to the man, not the Father who is leading the man. I've dealt with this before and HE IS JEALOUS FOR US. I said JEALOUS. The desire for companionship could even become an idol as we can potentially seek things outside of His will and the sad thing about it is if we want something bad enough he will give it to us even if it’s not what is His best for us. This could range from wrong relationships, security, fear, etc. There are things that will hinder us from walking in what the Father has ordained for us. Yes, being in an assignment that isn’t what we were called to do is horrible. When we’re walking in our destiny, that’s in our dna, it’s what we were made for. There's a unique calling on each one that ONLY we can fulfill.
"Everyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I Yah will answer him who comes, ACCORDING TO THE MULTITUDES OF HIS IDOL (Ez 14:4).” Are you getting this? They will therefore not see rightly. If people come before a prophet with idolatry and request counsel, they may get a word, they may be shown accurate information to the “t.” Their mail may be read, thoughts of their heart that no one knew even may be exposed, but that word is not going to be Elohim’s will and we will be accountable for it.
We know this because the Father will answer that one according to the multitude of his idols. Verse 7-9 says “For every one of the house of Isra'el, or of the stranger that sojourns in Isra'el, which separates himself from Me, and sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I Yah will answer him by Myself: And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and you shall know that I am Yah.
And IF THE PROPHET BE DECEIVED when he has spoken a thing, I Yah HAVE DECEIVED THE PROPHET, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Isra'el (KJV).” That prophet will be deceived when he speaks . It’s prophetic, but it’s false. It’s real information but not from the Father. It’s rooted in covetousness, in giving the people what they want, not what they need. It’s an abomination.
This was going ALL THE TIME in Jeremiahs day for “from the least of them even to the greatest of them, everyone is given to covetousness; And from the prophet even to the priest, everyone deals falsely (Jer 6:13). It then says they have healed my people slightly saying peace when there is no peace. It’s false comfort. If they were content, they wouldn’t need to receive a word like this. Idolatry caused them to receive words that speak directly to those wants and carnal/lusts which strengthen those desires. It’s so pivotal even when we pray for another to not pray with an idol in our heart or we can hear something that’s not from Yah. Like I said we can want something so bad, that Elohim (in Hebrew) not coming against anyone’s free will, He will actually give it to you. These discontentments whether it was their reputation, appearance, growth, or agendas can be persuaded in light of their desires bringing deception that this was actually Elohim. It brings massive confusion. Don’t I know this. WOW
Another good example of this would be Jehosaphat and Ahab (2 Chr 18). The prophets of Elohim spoke to Ahab’s hearts desire for gain. Ahab received words he wanted to hear and refused the true words by the prophet Micaiah (not Micah) which wouldve brought protection and deliverance (v 18-22). Verse 22 reads “YaHuWaH has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these prophets of yours (not His), and Yah has declared disaster against you.” Today there are prophets all over saying Thus saith Yah but is it Elohim or is it inspired by deceptive forces (familiar spirits) or idolatry? You must weight these things out. Test the spirits. I'm speaking to me as well. It's pivotal beloved.
Remember, if a man comes to the prophet with a word with an idol in his heart, Yah will see to it that the prophet is deceived in His answer. Instead of calling people back to the heart of Elohim with sound words they draw them away with words that feed the idols in the heart. In 2 Tim 4:3, Paul foresaw this coming again where people will know longer endure sound doctrine but after their own lusts they will go after those who have itching ears, who give them what their covetous hearts want to hear.
That’s all over the place today. I’m talking about those who hear words or prophesies that feed their carnal desires and speak to that desire out of that idol, and they just obey that word, having no discernment. They never even heard from the Father spirit to spirit. It’s like Isra’el of old who said no Mosheh (Moses) you go to the mountain and we’ll obey. The prophetic word has always been to conform what the Father is speaking or will speak, not to take action because you heard something that fed your desire. The Father gives us what we need, not always what we want.
If you move on a prophetic word (assignment, destination, marriage, financial move) you will doubt it the first opposed circumstance that comes. We need the Spirit communication. We need ask the Father for prophets who will speak faithfully whether it’s welcomed or not. Yes even correction. We want truth. Beloved When you ask for that, don’t be surprised when you get it. It may not always be what you want, but IT IS what you need. That’s what a loving Father does but remember He won’t override your will, because that’s a lack of love and He cannot not love. It’s who He is. When these prophetic people come in and speak this garbage, speak this information that’s true, but just feeds the flesh, both are deceived. It’s like going to a psychic and getting information that will set you on a course that the Father never intended for you. Get this.
Elohim tells Jeremiah “Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to YOUR DREAMS WHICH YOU CAUSE TO DREAM. For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says Yah (Jer 29:8-9).” We encourage them by our own discontentment and idolatry. We have a part in all this and must repent of our discontent and covetous desire for gain.
Do you see here that theres dreams that YOU CAN cause to be dreamed. How? It’s based upon that idol in your heart. What am I saying? I’m saying that there are those prophesying out of their own soul, those who are prophelying according to their own idol in their heart, yes maybe you loved this man of Elohim, he was used mightily, and you started to desire to be under him to be with him.
He became an idol in your life, maybe even subconsciously, and some out of town prophet came and spoke to that desire, that desire that you haven’t yet expressed openly and you just assumed accurate information is from the Father. Maybe you said in your heart of hearts I will follow this man, as Elisha followed Elijah and serve him for my life. And this prophet that comes says I see you being under this man in a mighty ministry of healing. Maybe you want to be in ministry not for the people but because of the platform and honor.
You were never meant to make ANY decision based off a word that the father didn’t speak to your spirit. The word that divides between soul and spirit would’ve saved you from that. I’ve heard story after story of lives, marriages, and families TOTALLY shipwrecked because they moved on a prophetic word. NO!! We need to hear the father spirit to spirit. For ourselves. Beloved He is STILL speaking. Always.
Desire for success is a major force behind false prophecy's acceptance in the church. His words will give you what you need NOT just to reflect your desires. It brings healing. LIFE!! Again I point to the fact that the Father will never release you somewhere if it’s not your time and you will know. He plants us in His house (Ps 92:13) and He rewards us based on our faithfulness, not our ambition (which is a desire for gain).
Maybe you have had like we all do a desire for companionship, etc and you started to have dreams that fed the idol in your heart, or the thing that you really really desired. But you didn’t know it was the Father. But hey you started having these dreams so your like man man this is crazy because soo attracted to the girl or guy right? It was a desire right? So you start to think that’s the Father confirming things. Not that He couldn't speak in that way, but that could also be a idol in the heart that you want soo soo bad. Ok the point is MAKE NO MOVE without direct communication from the Spirit inside of you. You even have someone pray for you and their like WOW, I see a marriage on the horizon coming very soon for you. It feeds what you want right when it might not be what you need.
You can have dreams and words spoken to you BASED ON WHAT YOU WANT, not necessarily what you need. VITAL. See it gives you what you want and can devastate you if you’ve not heard that communication spirit to spirit. What is that? ITS DISTRACTION. Brings NO GOODNESS... that is for sure. Yes your heart can be sooo right and yet you be sooo sooo off. It’s humiliating really. I’m trying to help you. I HAVE SOO BEEN THERE. I’ve had a cycle of this happen in my past and more than anything IT BRINGS CONFUSION going off this word, or that word or going off of a dream when there is an idol in our hearts. It’s sooo deceptive. This is also true with soul ties, can have dreams dreams and dreams and can mess with your thoughts and imagination, but just need to release that person and that person from you.
In my past I had even a soul tie of a closer brother in the Spirit. It's real. Not always romantic relationships. Let me also say to be VERY VERY careful praying prayers of future destination, call, spouse, children, for others. I mean prophetic witchcraft is soo pulling. For example if I'm called to the nations and someone or a group of people pray for me to be the youth pastor and keeps praying it, they are praying something outside of the will of the Father against His will for me and it can have a pull to it, that can make me think about not going to the nations not doing what I know I'm called to.
THIS IS REAL. It brings confusion. It's pulling. It's very very DANGEROUS to pray a prayer against someone's will. It is witchcraft. You don't do that. Praying to marry a certain girl or boy is VERY DANGEROUS as well, His timing is perfect. Don't awaken love before the time. We don't pray against someones will. Dangerous. It's very safe to pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation be released to them, come to understanding etc, come to ancient paths etc #BEFREE
