The Lord always prefers a small group of faithful solders to do battle so that he gets the glory. Gideon started out with 32,000 men. God narrowed it to 300. This was .94% of the original number. There are 15.3 million Jews (children of Israel) in the world today. 144,000 represent exactly .94%.
